Farnsworth Region: #3 Professor Ogden Wernstrom vs #11 Hedonismbot

Wernstrom actually had an easier time last round than in the first round, only having two votes cast against him. Hedonismbot has had a similarly easy time getting to this round. Who'll move on? Discuss now and the poll opens tomorrow at midnight!

Kind of tough. I think I will go with Hedonismbot, who's been amusing, although I could be swayed. I do like the Farnsworth/Wernstrom dynamic and the plot with Mom that has developed over the course of the series.

In terms of originality, then Hedonismbot is quite a unique character compared to Wernstrom, who is just another scientist rival.  Funny as he is, Hedonismbot gets bonus points from me for originality in character and thus gets my vote.

Wernstrom is the classic antagonist scientist, but a machine like Hedonismbot was never seen before.

Yes, Wernstrom is less original but I think that the execution of the character is much better than with Hedonismbot. He's more rounded as well as being funnier and more interesting in my opinion.

I don't have strong feelings about either character--except for my feeling that Hedonismbot has been overused and doesn't add a whole lot to the show for me, comedically. I'm going with Wernstrom because, even though he's not a favorite of mine, at least he's more fleshed out and has served as a nice foil for Farnsworth on occasion.

Agreed, and I will be voting for the antagonist.  Still, HB does have his moments.  e.g. "There were bodies everywhere... and then there was an explosion.".  That line makes me grin every time.

I went for Hedonismbot because the idea that someone built a robot for the specific purpose of being hedonistic is just ridiculous.

Svip & Hein have nailed it on the head in my opinion. Only thing I can add is the funniest thing about Wernstrom is actually the Professor saying "Werrrnstrom!"-which is not to say that Wernstrom is never funny...I just think Hedonismbot has had a ton more great one-liners, and Wernstrom's not important enough of a character to overcome the comedic gold that is Hedonismbot.
