Farnsworth Region: #8 Dwight Conrad vs #24 Mildred Fry

Dwight and Mildred barely got into this round, beating Robot 1-X and Petunia (respectively) by less than 5 votes each. Which of them will move on to the next round? Discuss now and voting starts at midnight tonight!

Mildred's going to totally clean up. Which, as a woman in the forties, she's likely to feel is appropriate.

I don't care about either character, really--but since Dwight kind of bugs me, I guess I'll go with Mildred. I suppose Mildred is more important from a storytelling standpoint, anyway, so there's my justification.

This one is kind of a hard choice and I doubt either will move on past round 3 without even bothering to look up who they'd be up against. Mildred is a good character in a phenomenal episode, and Dwight is a good character in a couple of less excellent episodes, so I guess I'll go with Mildred.

I feel like Mildred is a completely bland and little-more-than-functional character in an amazing episode whereas Dwight is about as good as a son-of-Hermes character was ever going to be. So I'll be voting for Dwight.

I went with Mildred over Dwight because I love Roswell That Ends Well, even though Mildred's character doesn't really have a whole lot to do with what makes it such a great episode...

Mildred's character also hasn't been involved in any sucky episodes. I'd like to see a couple of flashbacks to the forties in the future, maybe show her raising Fry's father on her own. There's got to be some fun in that somewhere.

Difficult...Dwight is all right, but imhO just the needed buddy for Cubert.
So, I go for Mildred, who just performed once, but in a really great episode.

I dislike Dwight almost as much as Cubert, so I'll be voting for Mildred on the strength of one episode (plus she's a 9). As Gorky said, she's more important to the story so there's that too...

I said I'd vote for Mildred but I actually voted for Dwight. Iunno, I guess the concept of Mildred has more to do with the series but Dwight's character is more developed and a bit more interesting than hers.

I don't have strong feelings for either of the two, but Dwight is more developed and has entertained me more, so I voted for him. Even if Mildred's one appearance was in one of the series' best episodes.

I dislike Dwight. And Mildred was just entertaining. And by entertaining I mean the rip shirt and boobs thing. Tnuk's idea would be interesting seeing some flash backs to her raising her child. I just thought of something that should go into the RTEW thread.
