This one's tricky. On one hand, the idea that Richard Nixon's head is the president in the 31st century is pretty great (not to mention how hilarious I find Billy West's impression of Richard Nixon). But, on the other hand, I do really like Bender's Big Score and it's Lars-reveal montage-y thing.

I'm sort of leaning towards Nixon but I can't decide.

Perhaps if someone were to use their superior arguing skills to convince me to vote for one of them...

Lars' story destroyed the sadness of what happened with Seymour.
Nixon only destroys other planets.

I am leaning towards Nixon, though I loved BBS. I think Nixon is one of the funniest sort-of running jokes, sort-of plot pints the show has.

I enjoyed Lars less as a character and more as a plot device, if that makes sense; I thought the idea of Lars as this foil for Fry (and the reveal at the end that, hey, he was Fry) was a good one, but in execution I don't think he's a particularly compelling character. Like, I can't say that I enjoy watching Lars on the screen.

Nixon, meanwhile, is hilarious and evil and aroo-tastic. So yeah, he has my vote.

I'm voting for Richard Nixon because Lars isn't even his own character. I like Lars, but he's just an extension of Fry, so I'll vote for Fry when I get the chance, instead.

I also go for the "Lars is Fry, and Fry is already in the contest" aspect.
Besides, West's performance on Nixon is absolutely great.

Nixon all the way. I actually don't like Lars at all, the character doesn't completely make sense to me. I just don't see how Fry supposedly turns into such a wise sweet talker with a sh*t eating grin. Nixon on the other hand is a strong candidate I can get behind: funny voice, evil plans, and as Jezzem already pointed out, the fact that Nixon's head is president in the 31st century is awesome.

I've always thought Lars was a stupid character.  Yeah, for the movie, it worked well, but as stupid as they always portray Fry, I find the believability of the whole Lars thing odd.  I don't think Nixon is that great a character either, (I think it's kind of stupid as well) but if I had to choose (the whole point of this, right?), Nixon is better than Lars.

Also, Lars is just a stupid name.

This is valid. Fry did seem to grow up kind of overnight. Lars is a little bit of a weird choice for inclusion in the Madness because he isn't really his own character, he's an extension of a character, but it's all cool.

I ended up going for Nixon because he's just funny as hell and it had to happen.

Eh. I guess it's believable to me that maybe Lars would be as mature as he was, what with the whole Leeloo experience. All the same, I voted for Nixon. I agree with the logic that Lars isn't a separate character from Fry, and Nixon is ridiculously funny.
