Maybe the ballots ought to be taken via email, like the peelies. That's the only way I can see people voting for who they want, not for the fun of prolonging a tie or supporting a popular person they don't really care about.

edit -That sucks all the fun out of the voting process, but these prolonged tie games are even less fun.

Or put the poll on PEEL's forum listings page, like when Marc used to have us rate new episodes on a scale of one to five. We can only vote once, and we won't see the results until after we've voted.

Personally I like that idea, have done for some time now, I suspect if shared Poster of the Month titles could be awarded there would be less ties because those that just want to see a tie-breaker have no motivation for trying to cause one.
