sorry this is in the wrong thread, but is it true avy's only change when previous threads are viewed by the poster?  like if i changed my avy, would my previous posts still contain my previous one?

If a thread you have previously posted on is locked now then your avater will be the one you have at the time and it will always stay that way.
If you changed your avater now, it will change in all your posts in unlocked threads and in all of your new replys.
Wow that's confusing. Someone will explain it better.

And I do think this is in the wrong place.

@Cujoe:  The avatars will change no matter if the thread is locked or not.  I just went to check some old old ones, and its showing someones new avy.  Its just that you need to make sure your cache is cleared out before it will show

Here's the http://=www.thefryhole.co.uk/peelfaq.php]PEELer's FAQ. If you read it, you'll find out that Avatars need to be GIFs. Also, to upload those to the pool, go to this thread and say "Upload to Pool" under the avatar(s). If you want a custom avatar, go to that thread and say "Upload to Custom" under the avatar you want as your custom. The next upload is in December, I believe the second week.

really nice work you did on the avatar, nice stuff! One little nitpick is that they are over the 3.4 kb limit we have, but that is easily done with decresing the color depth a little more.

Uhg! Why can't newbie's just let things be done by peelers eg GFF or Amy (by the way, have a great wedding whenever it is)? Still it,s nicethat they try but leave it to profs or at least try and then give... oh who care's it's like i'm spamming anyway. I'll be back for my got milk avy by the end of march.

Anyone can make avatar's should they choose.  It doesnt mean that GFF or I, wont make dublicates, it just leaves the person the avy is for to make a choice. 

However, I agree with Dr. Bender Nye in a way, before you go making avy's you should read what is required of them, and make sure the avy fits to that.  Krawhitham was close, so just a little advice from GFF was more than enough to let him keep on his way of making them.  If you look back on the previous page, what Fry1248 posted, you will see what is not appriciated in this thread. 

Mecha - n00b's arent the ones who should be making judgement on if someone else is still a n00b

Fry1248, it is called "language", if that is even what you tried to spell, while you failed to do that again. Also you have been told that you shouldn't do posts, whose whole content is just one word, or even just a smiley.

If not God then perhaps your parent's genes have given you a brain to think, a mouth to speak and some hands to do things. Use them all three wisely, in combination and they will lead you to create things.

Mark my word "wisely", since "langue" isn't wise at all.

I don't know how old you are, but seeing that you are able and allowed to use a PC probably means that you are older than 10. Being 10 implies that no matter where you live, you should have atleast 4 years of education behind you. 4 years in which you should have learned how to write, spell and form complete sentences.

I fully agree with my Amy, and I said that people are free to do avatars like they want to. They just should try to make them actually usable for PEEL, which are the restrictions given in the FAQ.

Well that was my rant on it all. I can't stop you all from going on, but I will stil ask you to get this here back on track before custom avatars get outruled.
