I like the idea of "The Why of Fry" mention of "the other" being incorporated into a movie. If the show had gone on, the idea would've probably been used in an episode anyway.
But that would just be the "A" plot. You would need a few sub-plots that include all of the other supporting characters.

I was watching the TV Guide channel to see if anything good was on, (there wasn't) But they mention the Simpsons movie was in the "VERY early stages of production" So, it'll probably be a good while before that happens, then they would need to recover for awhile, and we might not live to see a Futurama move, let alone a trilogy...

Here ar some good stories:
Night of the Living Hard Drive
Bender gets a virus and becomes a Zombot

Leela for Prezadente'
Leela becomes President of Earth,
but has to deal with a new terrorist:Mom!

Fryborg 2.0
Fry becomes a robot,but has a run in with the Robot Devil!

and...
Zoidberg O' Brian
Zoidberg becomes a comiden and is a hit,until he is face to face with
Lrrr,who wants to have Zoidberg as his humor slave!

i dont like the idea of a movie. i think if they did like a 1 and a half hour episode on tv it would be better. making a cartoon tv show into a movie seems like money spining to me

Movie, 1½ hour episode, what's the difference? I'm pretty sure this movie would be direct-to-video/DVD, or at most a TV movie. Making it a cinema movie would make no sense from a business perspective.

I'm a bit wary about seeing a movie of Futurama.
It will be good to see, and more Futurama can't be a bad thing, but I can't help worrying that it will be poor and then I will wish they just let it lie...

I've heard more rumors about a Futurama movie from other places, too. I'm not sure if they'd do a trilogy, though. I mean, the Simpsons is a lot more popular and it's getting ONE movie, and though it's sci-fi tradition, I don't think they'd do that for Futurama. They have made "movies" for other shows on TV, but they're really more like 1-hour specials than anything else. I think a direct-to-DVD thing is more likely, though. Because of the amount of time it would take to make the movie, Futurama might not be on CN anymore, so a movie probably wouldn't air on TV. Definitely DVD, though. I think an explanation of "the other" phrase is totally needed. I watched that episode semi-recently and pulled my hair out for hours afterward wondering what it meant.

Fry becomes a fembot
Leela becomes a Ghost
Bender Becomes a teen-robot gazalionair with strict parents
Amy becomes a diamant thief
Zoidberg becomes human but know he can taste and he hates it
Farnsworth want's pe to be de best delivery service in the galaxy but is ambushed with bomb letters
Hermes becomes boss and is stranded with farnsworth and the bom letters
Zapp becomes ghost
Kiff wishes Guts but ends up in prison

Now he has collected enough Negative energy to grant himself a wish.To be the Dictator of the universe

I like BNLbum's idea too! It could be like an action flik. Aliens with no mercy are invading earth and are tearing the world apart by tourture. There expanding globle warming by causing huge Typhoons and stuff. And have stopped the core from spinning to create major storms around the world. And in a way each characters are copyrighted versions of other action heros, for example:

Fry: Indiana Jones

Leela: Lara Croft: Tomb Raid (best action flick ever!)

Bender: A Super Robot with laser beams that shot from his ass!

Amy: Super Girl

Hermes: Some army guy

Farnsworth: A mad scientist, oh wait he's already that...

Zoidberg: Godzella (basically giant like in AOL 1)

Yeah, and like in the Sting, Fry sacraficese his life for Leela and gets major blood! Blood is a keyword here people!

Most def. fryfanSpyOrama! That was always one of the big mysteries at the end of the series. A movie should def center on the "other" statement by Nibbler.

Here is my idea for a Comedy/Scfi/adventure/Romance.

It'll take place about six onths after Devil's Hands,where Fry has been dateing Leela.Then,Fry disdes to pop the question to Leela,but the proffeser accidently creates a black hole which sucks up Fry's ring before he prpoles to Leela.
So Fry and nearly all the Pe crew (exept Amy and Leela)to get the ring.
Meanwhile Zapp here's about Fry's ring and sends DOOP soldiers to get the ring before Fry does.

Stupid or not.

I dunno, i like the whole concept of Fry's ring being sucked into the black hole, but not the DOOP soldiers. Also once again, it should involve the whole idea of Leela being "the other" as mentioned in The Why of Fry. Not bad though

I liked it, but that doesn't sound like an average Futurama plot. It would like be a sub-plot. But for the DOOP thing, You wouldn't need an army just to find one ring (which Fry could have boughten from a candy machine.) And Zap could be so desperate to win Leela over Fry they could have a fist fight! Fry would win, but how would he pop it? He could do it in an akward time or like any proposal, or  he'd get on one knee in front of the PE crew and say the words. But like Nasty said, there should still be a factor on Leela being "the Other". Oh I love the sound of Fry marrying Leela. It was funny in Time Keeps on Skipping but it only lasted for half a minute.

By the way, has anyone considered my plot?

I and probably many others, am curious and I want to beg David and Matt to tell he what Nibbler meant when he called Leela, "the other."  I don't care if the reason was of big importance or not, I want to know.  That has been the big Futurama mystery to me ever since I first saw "The Why In Fry".  That and will Leela start a relationship with Fry after TDHAIPT?

Certainly, if there is a film a few issues like Leela being 'the other' should be addressed.
I think it should have an open ending though. The ending of TDHAIP was handled well and it would be a shame if the film spoiled that.
I don't want it to feel like the end of the story, just the end of that chapter... if you get my meaning.

Mom has formed an idea to take over the world.
She gets her best,most evil robots her company has made:
The Robot Devil,Santa,the sun set squade robots and Destroctor and
makes more of them,and makes an army.
Meanwhile,the Proffesser disdes to do an idea:he has invented the worlds bigest Mr.Microphone in history,so the crews misson is to make a world wide leatle paradocks that will destroy all the evil robots destroyed.
But,there's one problem:No Batteries.

Now the crew most get to the battere shop before the robots kill them.
