I think it could be fun, so long as it was more than just an extended episode, if there were a film I'd like it to answer a few more unanswered questions.
I did not vote, simply because I was ordered to.

Make a trilogy of trilogies!
If Matt and David could come up with some good plots, Futurama movies would rule. Hey, it worked for Star Trek, and look where that franchise is today. A series of movies, each with a different take, humor, emotions, developing relations, examining old friendships etc.
And further down the line: "Futurama:TNG", "Futurama: DS9" and "Futurama:Voy." Err, scratch that last entry. ::Sideshow Bob shudder::
Edit: removed some annoying smileys.

Oh Teral...I worship you, but there is no way in hard-flaming hard-farting Hades there can ever be a Futurama: The Next Generation--not for decades, anyway, like after I'm taking a long dirt-nap. Oh Lord, picture it: Wurmstrom's great-granddaughter starts a delivery business operated by an exiled Jrrr, Fluffer's cyborg niece, and a pizza delivery boy from the 21st century--under the watchful eye of the jarred head of Morgan Proctor. You're making God cry! (And I'm teasing Him!)
At this stage, I would be happy just to have another season or two to wrap up the storylines and provide a real Series Finale.
Of course, I wouldn't kick Futurama movies out of bed, either. Most of us agree a theatrical release would not do as well as we'd like, but straight-to-video would surely do well, yes? (Especially since the DVD/video sets are already selling like monkeycakes--by which I mean your ass!)

Straight-to-vodeo is probably the only viable (read profitable) way to go. I know I'll buy them in a heart beat (and I'd pay the outrageous price for a movie ticket, but other than us hardcore fans noone probably will)
Giving that we probably wont get a decent series finale (unless the "FOX Shared Brain Cell" suddenly jumpstarts) there are some issues that screams for a movie. There's the whole shipper-thingy. A movie focusing on Fry and Bender's friendship, as Fry is about to move in with Leela, and leave Bender. Maybe combined with a Amy/Kif weeding, and the Zapper as self-appointed bestman.
Nah, I'll just stop there. No need to give myself false expectations, because it'll probably never happen.

Screw Fox. I wouldn't accept money from them at all. I say, wait until either more eps(seas.6) get made or until Greoning can get to another station, then get the funding from there.

A trilogy would be great, hell, one would be good anyway!

Surely if Futurama doesn't get a 5th production season, then the movie(s) will be started. At that point The Simpsons would be half way into Season 14, and the voice actors are already signed until Season 15, if you get my drift.

But I still want a trilogy of trilogies. If it's good enough for Star Wars....

The Star Wars triology of trilogies rumor is just that, a rumor. From whatI've been told, what Lucas originally planned for 9 movies he realized he could fit in 6.

It's funny how 96% of the people who voted agree on the same thing, even though there are 10 choices. I hope Matt Groening is reading this.

There was also the HHGG TV Series (recently released on R1 NTSC DVD, and has been out on NTSC VHS, PAL VHS, and R2 PAL DVD for a while) - 6 parts. And the HHGG Radio Series - 12 parts. Hitchhiker's was truly a pioneer for all comedic SF, including our beloved Futurama.
