That could be perceived as a flaw in his story but Bender killing Donbot's wife could be as a result of the affair.

So I sent an e-mail asking about "Season 5" and here's the response:

Season Five will consist of 18 new episodes of Futurama.  No release date is available.

Soooo... Is the e-mail incorrect and it will be the Movie DVDs 1-4 repackaged?  Then how do they get 18 episodes instead of 16?

I hope that means something is in the workds but just won't be revealed until after ITWGY is released.

although its possible that this is a real summary, all the things he said could be made up from just watching the trailer or lokking at the cover art

I must admit that bit is what makes his summary sound a bit less credible but this is a story about the whole universe ending...who knows what the hell that could supposedly entail?

It could all just be a wind up, it could be genuine information...I'm still favouring the latter but the only way we'll know for sure is if we watch the film.

Though I'm guessing that the forthcoming reviews will shed more light on the story...it might be worth remembering his summary however just to see if any new information that might be gained from reviews fits in with his version of events. That's probably the quickest way to find out if what he's saying is valid or not.

That's not what bothers me. What bothers me is the fact that his review, however grammatically incorrect it may be, could be legit, which therefore summarizes that this movie's gonna suck.

Also, has anybody visited the official site for the movies recently? I have a strong feeling that the holophoner is going to make a return in the finale.

Indeed, I do think that this "Season 5" of which you speak will just be the movies in episode format.

The reason there isn't a release date is probably because they haven't all been made/shown yet.

actually they are already showing season 5 on channel ten in australia (the land from whence i hail!) and it IS the movies chopped up!

in my opinion, it ruins the experience because they were made to be MOVIES so you lose the continuity and plot in the couple-of-day breaks between episodes!

If you're a member of Amazon.com, there's a link "Click for help".  After going through some FAQ shit, there's a place that you can type in questions.

And yes, "Season 5" is confusing.  That's why I'm asking questions.

If Futurama is strong enough as a money maker to warrent it's own Amazon Store, then sales must be pretty good.  FOX loves money, lots of money so I would say there is hope that ITWGY won't be the last we will see of the Planet Express crew.

And tonight Bender's Big Score will be on Comedy Central. 

I won't be watching it.  Two nights ago I watched Parasites Lost.  BBS just doesn't compare.

Agreed, I certainly won't be buying them chopped up into four episodes each. They're movies and so they shall remain in my book.

I think more people would have been inclined to believe him if he hadn't started slagging off people when he was pulled up on his grammar. He seemed friendly enough at first though since he was probably in his early teens at most it wasn't a surprise that he got all narky over something so small.

I'm still inclined to believe the summary was genuine but the forthcoming reviews should give us more idea as to whether he was telling the truth or not - providing they provide more "official" plot detail.

Just had a though with regards that - it COULD possibly tie in to the alluded storyline of Bender not being able to wait for too long. Granted he said Zoidberg was the really old one by the end but we already know that Bender is a few thousand years old at the very least so more time travelling could easily be the straw that nearly breaks the camels back.

Also it'd tie in to the alluded to 'kissing scenes' between Fry and Leela though since we already know that this movie is going to be heavy on that aspect this tenuous connection should be disregarded for the most part.

Just a thought, his summary could still be utter nonsense but it does seem to  fit in with not only the stuff that everyone already knows but the more vague aspects too.

That's my two cents anyway. I'd be interested to know what other people think of that link.

you know, it always struck me as a little weird that the writers completely ignore the few years that pass between The Devils' hands and BBS.  It almost felt like they were intentionally saving that for later.  If there is time travel in this movie, maybe they'll go back and explore what happened during those years?
