At the beginning of the new Family Guy movie, as all the family members walk onto the red carpet, they are being barraged with questions by the line of reporters. One reporter asks Stewie : "Does Fox have any plans to bring back Futurama?" Stewie asks "What magazine are you from?" when he replies "Entertainment Weekly", Stewie beats him up and walks away. Not really sure what this is supposed to signify, but I do know that in the first episode of the new FG season, when Peter was listing all the shows that Fox has cancelled since Family Guy, Futurama was not mentioned. I think the people over at FG respect Futurama and hope it gets to come back as well.

Lots of those shows they listed were cancelled (some even created) after Family Guy. "Cracking Up" premiered last season, and I didn't see it on more than 3 times (how did that show ever even make it on the air? good actors, horrible story)

Yeah, but they brought back Arrested Development for a 3rd season, and Family Guy, and they're giving Futurama another chance. So they've got to be doing something right. I give all the credit to their new Head of Programming whose first acting decision was to bring back Arrested Development for a 3rd season. I'd be willing to bet he had a hand in this Futurama movie was well.

Well, I honestly don't think that Billy West and Jophn Dimaggio would go around saying that these DVD movies are a go unless it was true.
