Just found this out in an odd way - in order to use some Futurama artwork from Sky in the mag, we also had to add a line of text (from Sky) saying when the new season was going to start. So, three months to wait... chah!

March? Ah nuts. It'd be better if they actually bothered to show the Simpsons every week.

hmm, dunno if i can believe that.

Sky themselfs said that Futurama returns in their Winter-Lineup.

Sky themselfs said that their winter lineup starts on the 7th of January (to coincide with ther Re-branding of SkyOne).
i think March is more like their Spring-lineup   ;).
but at the end of the day it is Sky we're dealing with.

I don't want to believe that but unfortunatly I do, denial wont make it any easier. On January the 4th the episode "I second that emotion" is on which sugests that Sky will repeat the whole of season 2 before they start season 4.

I saw on the BBC Ceefax service (I think) that the new series of The Simpsons, Buffy, Star Trek, Angel and Futurama will be shown together as part of the winter line up.

I don't know if that will be final knowing Sky though,

We can only hope  :(

Well I had a look ahead on the Sky TV Planner and there is no Futurama listed on the 7th  :( , but maybe they will just wait to show it the following weekend - the 13th, just like in the US.

Maybe?

Now we all know that "Rosewell that Ends Well" will premier on Sky One this Sunday, but something you probably didn't know is that it will be repeated on Good Friday! It's not often an episode gets shown twice in one week, another thing to note is that it's at the slightly later time of 8:00pm. If it gets cut on Sunday it might not on Friday, just a thought :)

And - good god! - Sky actually promoted the show! And not just with a three-second clip at the end of a load of reality shows (although they've done that as well), but with an actual, honest to goodness full trailer! The one I saw was all about Leela, although most of the rest of the gang were featured as well. So, Amy's going to be dressed as the Good Fairy from the Wizard of Oz, eh? Well, people *do* keep asking me when ANSTATMAW's going to be updated...

Lucky Brits. When I called my local station they said they'd air season 3 and 4 this summer or autumn. Maybe.

Anywho, enjoy it. "Roswell That Ends Well" is a great episode. Lots of laughs.

Yeah it was great :D Do you know if "A tale of Two Santas" is on in the UK on Easter Sunday? I heard that it wasn't being shown and that AOI 2 would be on but I don't know when or if it's true.

According to the SkyGuide, it is indeed AOI2 next week. I hope they show A Tale Of Two Santas eventually, although they showed Xmas Story around this time of the year, so why not this one?

Incidentally, tonigt's show was a disappointingly average episode for a season premiere. If the series goes on like this, maybe Fox axing it isn't such a bad idea. I'd rather it went out like this than sunk to the depths of The Simpsons.

Anyway, there were still some good bits in it. As has been said many times before, the graphics were amazing, especially in the scene with the PE ship blowing up the air base, which was a treat to view.

The professor and Leela's scenes were the best, although the best line of the episode goes to Bender, after having been dug up by Fry.

I didn't really like Zoidberg in this episode. He was a bit stupid (e.g. his first lines to the air base guys). The 'are you coming on to me?' line was good, although spoilt with the 'I don't hear a no..'.

Fry's grandfather was annoying too (esp. the voice), although the part with him turning over the calendar page was good. I think they should have made him Fry's mum's dad, though, if they were going to give him red hair. Also, if he was on his dad's side, I wonder why he wasn't called Yancy? Oh well, not important.

Futurama should stick to the future.

Welcome to PEEL Mike! :)

Thanx for the information, it's a shame that Sky are skipping past "A Tale of Two Santas" but I really want to see "AOI 2" aswell, so I'm not too bothered as long as they don't wait until Christmas to show it.

Btw, I really loved "Roswell that Ends Well", I think it's one of the best episodes yet! I have a proper review of it in it's review thread.

Welcome Mike!
I totally agree with you here. Although during Luck Of The Fryish, Yancy doesn't mention his actual father's name just everyone elses. But I think Fry should be fathering his mother (ewww) because like you said, it's her with the red hair. Plus if it was Enos "Fry" he never got married so whoever was born, wouldn't have been a "Fry" so Phillip J Fry wouldn't be Fry at all.
Unless the offspring married a Fry which makes me believe it had to be his mother.

Let's just say that Fry's so stupid he doesn't even remember which grandparent goes with which parent.  :)

Wow... Sky continues to show Futurama back to back. I wonder if we'll catch up with the US before the series ends over there. I remember last year when Sky had to put the brakes on S3 and take it off the air for a month or two whilst we patiently waited for FOX to finish (slackers...)
