Yeah, I noticed this as well.
Maybe the French didn't like the frequent bashing of their language...   :laff:

They're French, they probably got incredible offended that Futurama was originally taped with English voices.

Can anyone tell what the second Neptunian is named?

In the tableread Cohen tell the names of the two Neptunians who help Fry, Leela and Bender. One of the is named Balthazar, but the other is a bit difficult to tell. Hiyam? Ian?

people in france got good sense of humour, but the french translation of Futurama is so bad that they don't like it very much...

In the other hand, the french version of South park is great, I even prefer the translation over the original.

Why didn't Katey Segal do any commentaries (so far)?
Was it a contract thing or were they all voluntary?

Maybe she was too busy filming "8 Simple Rules" at the time.

Damnit! I keep getting the
"TheTV Out port of your display card is not working properly."
Error off PowerDVD while trying to play S1 DVD2, i was playing it fine, it shut, i re-opened and bam! Up comes the error. I've tried opening and closing the DVD drive, nothing!

EDIT: It's happening to all my bloody Futurama DVDs now!

Are other DVDs working? If not then it's your player not the DVDs. If it's just Futurama then... Uh they've been cursed... by dark wizards.

Actually now i tried it's other DVDs, i get something about it won't play copywrited DVDs if my TV-Out card is on (Which it isn't). If i restart and run PowerDVD once it works ok though (which i ended up doing). It's just pretty annoying if you're using the DVDs to update your site.

I was wondering, the episode "Route of all evil" seems to have much better picture quality than the other episodes?

Anyone noticed that?

Possibly it didn't transmit well when you saw it on TV? Maybe someone screwed the colour balance up at the broadcasting end...

Possibly it's because it was probably animated a lot later than the others eps in Season 3. The guy who did Dwight's voice recorded his bit, then went to the other side of the world for a year to do a film, and wouldn't come back till after. But some of the lines got changed, and they had to wait for him to come back, and the animation process only happens when the voices have all been finished  :)

This "Oil Rig" Thing sounds funny, but is indeed intended to be taken seriously.   :nono:

no ones mentioned this, but when you select to play the first episode on the first disc you get another alien message.  This one says that the programme had been formatted for your priative tv!

It's to do with oil rigs being in international waters or something (i think), as they are region 0.

hey guys,

first post here, but have been an aussie fan of Futurama since the begening (other aussies know just how *hard* that has been).

anyways, i'm looking to get Season 3 shipped over here on Amanzon.co.uk but i was wondering if the dvd set would be playable on a multi-region player? see i've heard of late that some overseas dvd's are "enhanced" so that multi-region players wont pick them up? any truth to this? any help would be magical!

and to the oher aussies here, can you guys believe that ch 7 is only now playing Season 3? what a joke. bah.

thanks guys,
