What? How? Why?
35 was one of the first things I tried out when I got the dvds. (We are talking titles, right?) How does this translate to a PS2?

I presume it is a title. I am not familiar with the workings of the PS2, but if it is like the standard remote you will need to press 10> (or something similar) and then 3 and then 5. This is whilst you are on the Alien Disclaimer.

Maybe someone who has a PS2 can help you better. Sorry.

Why do you HAVE to get it there, WHSmith has a better price.

OK, I'll try that. Except WHSmith isn't in a very-easy-to-find location like Picadilly Circus. I'll look anyway.

The WHSmith.co.uk Website locked up IE. Grr.

Okay, I can't be bothered to look back in the thread to see if anyone's posted this but I'll post it anyway. DVD monthly reviewed the season 3 set this month and gave it 5 stars (top marks) for the episodes, and 3 stars for the extras. They also made a little attack on Fox which shows that someone actually supports us out there.

In other news, my DVD's should be arriving soon but since I'm at my parents now I can't find out if they've arrived. Hopefully by Thursday I'll have them...

It's all a matter of opinion. We may find a a guide on how to draw Fry and Leela interesting but not everyone does. Personally, I think it would be nice to have a documentary on the animation or the voice artists.

well you are all complaining about 3 stars for extras, do you agree with total dvd's review?
 http://www.totaldvd.net/cgi-bin/dvdreviews.php?dvdid=4880

"Extras 8
Again we are spoilt for choice which an extras packed boxset. Contained within are Audio Commentaries for each episode, Photo Galleries, Deleted Scenes, Easter Eggs, Animatics, How to Draw Characters and an animated commentary for one of the episodes. Altogether this is a very substansial package of extras which will give fans many hours of fun trawling through."

Also not alot of tv dvds offer commentry for every single episode in the series!

david x cohen can be heard singing a little and so on.

You know the featurettes on the S1 DVDs?  Originally they were part of a 15 minute "Making of Futurama" programme, and included interviews with the three main voice artists.

It was a little extra special to get the S3 DVD set for me.  I never got to see Route of All Evil because it was pre-empted.  I watched it tonight on DVD, sweet.

All publications have differing guidelines on how to review material, but Total DVD pointed out that most of the material is aimed at fans. DVD monthly obviously feels that that this is more of a hindrance then an advantage. Besides, they gave the episodes top marks, what more do you want?!?!

Is it just me, or is the Scene Selection on Disc Three for "I dated a Robot", "A Leela of her own" and "A Pharaoh to Remember" screwed up?

If by "screwed up" you mean different from the other sets then yes it is. On the season 1 and 2 sets the scenes were 1 - cold opening, 2 - act one, 3 - act two, 4 - act three and 5 - credits. But it seems like they stuck the scene breaks in weird places this time. Makes it harder to skip the opening credits quickly  :(

Can someone confirm that the table read is 35 minutes long! My dvd player thought it was an hour and 10 minutes long, and I was suprised when it ended at 35 minutes.

I'm having trouble playing the DVDs on my PC. With PowerDVD i get this:
"The TV Out card is not functioning corrently. Cannot play the copyrighted DVD" (Or something similar)
Media Player gives me this:
"Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because a problem occurred with copyright protection." (Clicking "More Info" locked up my PC)

I can play them if i restart and run power DVD ASAP, but i don't even have TV Out setup at the moment!

I got that, I think, on the S3 Disc 3. Something like "Macrovision protection error". Ejecting then reinserting the disc fixed it for some reason.

I had a similarish problem with a Simpson S1 disc.  The first time I tried it, the player insisted that it was the wrong region.  Ejecting and reinserting it fixed that problem too.

No, I meant that if you try to use the Scene Selection for one of the episodes mentioned above, you end up on the selection screen for "Time keeps on slippin'"...
So the Scene Selection doesn't work properly for the three episodes mentioned above...

I've been doing nothing but watching season 3 now. First regularly and then with commentary. Those are the best commentaries that I've heard in a long time.
Has anyone found any of the easter eggs promised on the package?

I've had trouble playing the third disc using my ATI player. When I skip past the final copyright warning before the alien language one it seizes up. I know four works but I'm not sure about one and two.

I think that this is probabaly the second worst Futurama DVDs yet.
All the screes are so cold and dark, the extras are pretty bad and the intros are flash 5.

Did anybody notice that some Episodes don't have a French language track? Not that this would be a problem for me, but sofar nobody had mentioned this.
Also, the scene selection feature problem turns up on the other discs as well.

I guess France haven't aired FOX season 4 yet. Hence no dubbing made.

A lot of people seem to be having technical problems with the disks. I mainly play mine on my Sony DVD player and everything works perfectly. However ive noticed that when i play them on my laptop i can't access the stills gallery. hardly a big deal but i think that the problems arise on PC DVD players because they all have different sofware and specifications...
Just play them on a purpose built DVD player connected to a TV and they're perfect. Afterall that is the players only function, to play DVDs.

All the episode's image quality looks about the same to me.
The should all be the same coz they are taken from the digital source... unlike another Groening cartoon that I wont name.

I play mine on a Sony DVD player too, it's pretty old, it came out in 2000. But everything works perfectly for me  :) And about 'The Route of All Evil', I found every episode to be crystal clear and razor sharp. However, although all the episodes were produced as part of the same production season, on DVD it become apparent that some of them had been animated slightly differently, but only very slightly. I think it's cool though

This happens with some DVDs on my Apple Mac as well (especailly the Futurama DVDs).

The solution for me is to select the options with the keypad rather than the mouse...don't know if that's any help.
Try using VideoLAN to play your DVDs as well, that normally sorts out many of my problems (if slow on my G3)
