While we're engaging in sketchy goodness, I doodled this the other day during a lengthy telephone conversation:

Here are several older art items I've done (with varying levels of success). This was a pop-art project I'd done for an art class some years ago. It's a panel from a random comic book (I think it was a Fantastic Four comic and the subject is the Thing in some sort of radiation suit or something). It turned out decently, I suppose, but how did I mess up the text alignment and consistency so badly? Did I not have a ruler? This was my attempt at recreating this Futurama promo image from "The Honking." Bender looks good, but everything else is off-model, my brush strokes aren't great, the moon is misshapen, the moonlight is ugly and unblended, the cloud in the upper-right corner is somehow not straight, and for some reason in my hurry to frame the silly thing I forgot to put the black outlines on. This was last year's attempt to make a pop-art version of this picture. It didn't turn out perfectly (Drusilla's face in particular isn't quite drawn right), but still it ended up being a cool piece to look at. I'll admit that there was verbal instruciton about brush strokes and such for this one, but the design and execution were mine and I am rather happy with how this turned out.

*sucks air through teeth* naaaahh... ignore!
Sorry, Marcus. I saw what it was, but was too, er...shocked to respond. But what is up with this thread? I come back and it's 25% furry, 55% not-futurama and 20% futurama.. not the best of ratios. Well, it is the general art thread...unless your disappointment has more to do with that relatively large percentage of furries you mentioned...
