Anyone who's interested in a good sci-fi show, try Firefly, which just started airing here tuesday nights on 7.

Seen two eps, and after checking episode guides on the internet, it seems that it's being shown out of order, but dang if I don't find it addictive. Which is a pity, because only 15 eps were ever produced.   :(

Still, I'm, enjoying it quite a bit so far...

Well, according to the digital TV guide for Foxtel Digital (which includes SBS), it's on next week after South Park.

I saw John Safran's Music Jambouree for the first time yesterday. Good stuff. Can't wait for next week's.
Ahhh, it's good to have something to watch on Mondays again. Incidentally, i've been getting into south park again. That A.W.E.S.O.M-0 4000 episode was a crack-up.

Buy the DVD! Really, buy it. It is well worth it. And the extras are good too, not so much Music Jamboree related extras but just all the other things John has done.
Where did you get it from?

Pfft, it was good when the lesbians were going at it, but it's been downhill in the last few weeks. Home & Away is much better now, because that guy who was supposed to be dead isn't actually dead. And he was wearing a bear suit. You know the one.

I stopped watching Neighbours after that fat dickhead killed the hot chick.[/Yobbo]
That just happened to be the time that there was a rush of reality shows on after it, and i lost patience with TV as a whole. I only used to watch neighbours because it was between Becker (Or similar) and The Simpsons, and i was too lazy to actually get up and do something for a mere 30 minutes.

Stukov, where did you get the Safran DVD?

I actually got it at a bookstore, can't remember which one, but I've seen it at JB. It's about $33 I think.

I believe they are. Assuming they still actually make it. Zack Braff just made a movie, so maybe it got cancelled.

I don't think it was cancelled. I saw an interview with him on The Panel, and he said he made it on a 5 month break the cast had during the show. I'm sure that if it was cancelled, he probably would've mentioned it in the interview.

Wheeeee, 6 days until Team America comes out down here!  :D

Going to see it on Thursday, or will you wait until the weekend?
I saw the extended trailer on Tuesday. Looks even better with their little anit-terrorism car, with the American flag plastered all over it. And the fighting....
'David and Margaret at the Movies' reviewed it last night too. Margaret gave it 4/5 and David, being a liberal bastard who can't take a joke, gave it 1/5.  :p

Yeah, I saw that review. Completely disagreed with David, as you'd imagine, but it's nice to see that Margaret "got" it.  ;)

Anyway, I'm on holidays now for the next 10 weeks (just one of the perks of being in senior high school  :p), which means I'll be able to see it the day it comes out. Hurrah!

On Iron Chef tonight, there was some famous Japanese actor as the challenger. He got to choose out of Iron Chef Japan, China and France to compete against, and for some strange reason he chose Michiba (Iron Chef Japan). Michiba never loses, he's amazing. The ingredient was Mackeral of some kind, and Michiba dominated from start to finish.

There's a new series of Creature Comforts, Thursday nights on channel 2 if I remember correctly. I haven't seen any of these new ones yet, but the one I saw a while back was great.

Oh, the Wallace-And-Gromity style show with real people's voices dubbed over the animals? I saw that last week. It wasn't really that funny, but it was quite a nice graphical effect.

JDB: Team America was pretty funny, most of the jokes were spot-on. There were a few sections that probably weren't meant to be funny, though, and they seemed to drag on for too long. If you like South Park you'll definately like it.

M0le- what!! are you kidding? It was FANTASTIC.. the only negative comment i have is that cannabalised (no pun intended) some of their own gimmicks from south park...

it's not the first time they've done that..i know they've put things from Cannabal the musical into south park... (ie- when kylie taks his hat off to reveal a huge afro of curly hair).. but i'll give them the benefit of the doubt and conclude they just wanted to repeat it to make sure that if you missed it once, you caught it second time around..

i didn't think it was long at all...i thought it was fantastic...
never seen puppets do some of the things they did in that film... *giggles*

JDB - check out the Movie Review thread for my thoughts on Team America. Absolutely HILARIOUS.  :)

By the way, have they changed TV censorship rules recently? The past few months, a lot of TV stations (mainly Channel 10) have been showing PG-rated stuff at 6:30pm, and I could've sworn that they never USED to show anything PG-rated until after 7:30pm...
