I love the "Girls Not Grey" film clip by AFI. Okay, so the effects are pretty cheap compared to some of the other stuff out there - but still, if you get the meaning of the song itself, the video clip goes so well with it.

Fleetwood Mac - 'Gypsy' (most artsy, most romantic)
Van Halen - 'Hot For Teacher' (most fun!)
Peter Gabriel - 'Sledgehammer' (most imaginative)
The Police - 'Every Breath You Take' (a classic!)
Bon Jovi (the one filmed in Italy, with the fountains -- nice song, nice images)
REM - 'Imitation of Life' (just like it for some reason...)

Aphex Twin - Come to daddy
Chris Cunningham did a brilliant job on this one.

QOTSA - Every computer and animated video. Feel Good Hit of the Summer and the more recent one. That one is so psychedelic.

Both those videos rule, too.  Especially the Unkle one (I put it on the Music Vid clip quiz recently).

My mate told me that the Paranoid Android video was just as incomprehesible as a normal episode of "Robin".

I particularly liked the fat guy who chops his own arms and legs off.

the great thing about it is that were allowed to see someone hacking his limbs off but not some mermaids nipples, that gets blurred out if its too early

Rage Dumparu: I'm just a little curious, why the Pumpkins videos you quoted? It's just that (as much as I love 'em) I feel that they're the weakest of their clips.

Bullet With Butterfly Wings: Directed by Samuel Bayer (who also directed the "Smells Like Teen Spirit" vid), this video doesn't really have that much of an impact. It's cool and all, what with the outfits (Zero shirt!) and loads mud people sliding around and stuff, but the story doesn't come across, and it just feels slightly... Off. The commentary on the DVD gives the impression that Billy didn't have that much of a hand in it, and it certainly shows.

The End is the Beginning is the End: Contains clips from Batman & Robin. That should be enough said, but also it's unimaginitive and feels just too 'obligatory', to tie in with that summer's biggest flop.

Just curious!

Indeed.  Says more about MTV's censorship then most, really.

I forgot one of the very best:

Metallica - One
Disturbing black & white warehouse jamming session mixed with Dalton Trumbo's 1970's movie "Johnny Got His Gun" which echoes the song's theme.  Affecting, and gloomy.

Not only I like the video to it I also love the songs. Just love the way the girls screams at outkast in a 60’s style. Class.

I hated busted and there songs are crap but I seen their new video – crashed the wedding. And it was funny because they acted like dickheads.

More videos I remembered:
Manic Street Preachers - If You Tolerate This Then Your Children Will Be Next. A bunch of manniquin type kids with no faces. Freaky.
Queen - These Are The Days Of Our Lives. This was the last video with Freddie Mercury in it before he died, and the final shot of it is like a little message towards the fans  :)
Robert Palmer - Addicted To Love. Him singing with a bunch of robot-type girls all dressed the same. I remember it when I was little, I used to love that song  :)

Right on! I said that too, it's an awesome vid. I don't think there's anything else quite like it. Playing in front of a heard of cows, half naked women milking them, people burtsing to get the milk and getting high, while the band are played by actors at the beginning and end. As Liam said, he wanted to get some tounge and cheek back.

Dashboard Confessional- Hands Down. Pretty colors.  :)

I just saw "Fight For Your Right" by the beastie Boys for the first time today. Hehe, funny.  :)

Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden is good for a older video  :)

I've never seen the video for Freak On A Leash but I like the song.  :)

If you're talking Faith No More videos, then "Stripsearch" (Mike Patton as Kidnapper) and "Last Cup Of Sorrow" (Surreal Hitchcock Homage with the fantastic Jennifer Jason Leigh) and both standout videos.

Anyone seen the new Chemical Brothers video "Get Yourself High", with the doctored 70's Kung-Fu Movie footage?  Brilliant.
