I was surprised at the list too. Dire Straits' Money For Nothing and Robert Palmer's Addicted To Love didn't even make it into the top 50.

And I can't seem to find an online list...

has anyone seen the video the mars volta's televators? i saw it recently and while it's the song i like the least on the album, the video is - unlike their first video - pretty cool.
also, it looks as if the video was just part of a bigger movie. i have my hopes up, maybe there won't just be a book to the album but also movie...

oh yeah, in case you want to watch it and don't want to wait untill mtv or whatever airs it, watch it here

I've just remembered a video that I like. The video for Special Needs by Placebo. I've always been fond of that video. I think its cool how its been done, and the shots of the band playing in that empty swimming pool are great. I love the colours in them particular scenes, the blue adds atmosphere , its a great video  :)

I hate to admit this, but I actually like the video for Black Eyed Peas - 'Shut Up'. Especially the part where he's walking in mid air...

I've seen it, not all the way through but its really crappily put together. The effects are terrible. Unless thats the look they're going for. But its a really tacky video.

I've just seen the music video for U2's One on TV. It's nice. But I also read that this is not the original video - the original was an art film of some sort, with buffalo and flowers ... that's what I read anyway (it was no.49 in Q's top 50 vids)  :) And the song was also voted Greatest song ever by Q, too.

There are actually THREE videos to 'One'! Which one did you see, the bar one or the cross dressing one? The buffalo and flowers one is really cool, and is said to be an anti-film clip. Most film clips change angles and footage every 2 seconds, but this one just has pictures on the screen for ages at a time, or buffalos moving in slow motion etc. Really cool.

I blame being only 15. They don't show those old videos on tv, I only see them if I... umm see them.

They cheated, anyway! It isn't really a different video, just... a different video!

Most bands I listen to don't have actual music videos, however some notables:

-The Dead Milkmen had a few. They were all funny if you ask me.
-Converge has a video on their DVD. It's pretty cool, for a song called Downpour.
-Mastodon's got a video getting a little rotation on MTV2 for March of the Fire Ants. They cut about a minute of music out of the song(I HATE THAT!) but it's still cool.

The best music video, I think I have ever seen, was for a song called "Mr. P.M.O.S.H" by a band called Aquamosh. There was nothing fancy about it, you'd have to see it to know why it's the best.

I love the new song (and video) to Manintee (spelling?) by Franz Ferdinand  :)

I saw the video to one of my favourite songs at the weekend - Get What You Give by New Radicals. It just involves a crowd of teenagers taking over a mall!

all music videos suck. Its all just pop and rap and not enough good rock. Music should be heard not watched. Up yours MTV.

My favorite videos are in the Daft Punk/Leiji Matsumoto series[Interstella 5555]. Also, any rap video that involves over 20 girls in wierd outfits shot from behind. Highly amusing.

I don't mind the chicks in Rap videos only if the tv is muted, and the Rappers aren't in the video.

I just got the Metallica CD S&M, it's awesome, but then again, anything from Metallica is awesome.

I hate Rap with such a passion like the Proffesor wih the Swedish.

Well I've got Discovery (the album the songs are from) and while they run in order until the end of HBFS, the next songs are very different, so I doubt slightly that they are the next in any series, but I would be happy to see any more of that series of vidoes, they were great.  :)
