NightCrawler is cool, I especially like the take on him in Universe X.

Magneto from the Age of Apoclypse, Joe Maduraira's art makes him look so cool.
Wolfsbain I think she's cool.

Wolverine (The only good Canadian, ever)
Gambit (Just too cool in the cartoon.  The original cartoon is the only cartoon in my opinion, but that's a whole different thread)
Bishop (There's just something really cool about a big black guy with even bigger guns)
Cable (There's just something really cool about a big guy with even bigger guns)

Who could forget about Dr. Hank "The Beast" McCoy?  Omega Red was pretty badass too, I wish I had adamantium tentacles.

I love the X-Men comics, but not so much the cartoons. The first film was good but I'm looking forward to seeing no. 2 and seeing how they develop the story.

So, my fave's:
1. Nightcrawler- Kicks ass in any medium.
2. Bishop- Much more interesting a character than most take him for, esp. in his limited series.
3. Beast- I like big furry blue guys who kick ass. Simple as that.
4. Havok- much more interesting than Cyclops. Not as good a leader, but who cares?

@wu_konguk- I loved the Age of Apocalypse books, it was a great way to put a new spin on the characters. Rogue and Magneto though...?

@ Lurr
In all fairness they did have a thing after Rouge lost her powers after the Seige Periolous incident. But still yeah a bit far fetched.
Another rock ass series I sugest all X-men fans should read is Origin. It rocks, the art is cool, the story cool. And you get to learn Wolverines real name (not Logan)

Hmmm... my favourites would be Nightcrawler (if you've ever played the old skool x-men arcade game you know why), Wolverine, Archangel... and that other guy from the arcade game, that would scream and his skin flies off... I think his name started with an A...

Rogue, cos she's hot.
Jean Grey cos she's hot in the new films.

Wolverine for the rage.
Whoever that shape shifter dude was in the TV cartoon, not Mystique. I think he was a bad X-man?

Faze, I know who you're talking about.  The dude who got wasted in like the first episode, then came back later as a bad guy.  Don't remember his name, either.

Like:
Nightcrawler: For many reasons already said on this thread
Iceman: Not sure why, always liked this character
Marrow: Cool powers looks interesting

Hate:
Gambit: He just seems to take up space sort of like another Wolverine
Rouge (Superpowered): She is one of the most powerful members of the X-men why does she need to fly and have super strength? The movie showed she is just as if not more interesting wtihout the super strength

Actually the new cartoon actually started to get decent in the third season. The first two are still basicly crap but season 3 is much more interesting.

The guy name was Morph... He was Wolverines friend before he felt that Wolverine left him behind to die, which he really didnt want to and morph went for revange against him...

Damn that cartoon was awesome, its all coming back. They should put it on DVD set or something.

Having become suddenly enthralled with X-men of late, I've done my homework on this and know that little factoid was from the comics, what I'm wondering is did they stick with the same storyline for the cartoon? I could swear there was an episode where they related both Rogue's ability to fly and the white in her hair to a flying mutant, who was her mentor or something, little help here?

In the comics Mystique was Rouge's mentor who sent her on Carol Danver's (ie Ms Marvel) and stayed conected to long and perminantly took he abilities (super strenght and flying). Ms Marvel was put in a Coma because of this. FYI she was not a mutant but was grated the power by the Kree warior Mar-vell.
Recnelty Rouge gained the ability to call on the powers on any one she has touched in the past. So she can have Wolverines claws, Collossos' metal skin, NightCrawlers teleportation and a host of other abilities.
Oh LaVaLaDy you are right Excaliber did rock, except Pete Wisdom he annoyed me.

Incidently Morph was a stupid character in the TV series, his palce in the team made no sense. Now Morph from tha Age of Apoklypse was cool (lathough tecnically he was the Changling one of the orginal adversiries of the X-men)

I am abit of an X-men nerd, I used to have the whole of the X-men run up to issue 100. My favorite story arc was Fatal Attractions where Wolverine got his adamatium ripped out by Magneto. This of course led to theOnslaught saga which was also cool.

Haven't been that into X-men, but watching the overpowered Southern Bell was annoying, she just seemed to be too powerful, now she has complete control over the powers she has absorbed... dear god is that powerful. She was interesting but she constantly outclassed all the other X-men I found to be annoying. She already can take out anyone in the Marvel universe by touching them, why does she need all of those Powers? Right now she is more powerful then Superman! Am I the only one who sees something wrong with that?

I do like her character; they did an amazing job in the movie. I have been looking into her history online, I do love the origin of the stripe in the comic... she uses hair die.  :)

M was amember of Generation X but was not in fact Monet St Croix she in fact two of her siblings combined. The real Monet St Croix was the mutant know as Penance. At least I think that's right.

well heres the down low my scorces say and may be wrong but i think teyer right: Monet has a brther and two twin sisters. Her evil brother traped her in penence for reasons i dont know, she somehow escaped and her brother, who is a muntent, trapped her twin sisters into penence. so penence is, i think, monets twin sisters. Monet was trapped in penence but now fights with generation X. Now im pretty shure thats right but i might be wrong you never know.

An easy lot first.

2)Who created the Legacy Virus?
3)Who is Cable's mother?

I have a feeling that I'm missing one in #1.  If you say Professor X I'm going to slap you.
#2 was just a guess.  My second guess would be Apocalypse.
#3 I'm all but certain about.

The creator of the Legacy Virus was himself a creation of Mr Sinister, (he's Cables clone that just giving it away.)

Cable's mother is not Jean but is in a away (Send in the clones)

There if you can't get it now then shame on you.

2. Was it Stryfe who created the Legacy Virus? I don't for certain 'cause I haven't read all of the X-cutioners Song yet.

3. That must be Madelyne Pryor.

Way to go Lurr.
Yes it was Stryfe, Cabel's clone who created the virus.
Cabel's mother was Madelyne Pryor who was Jean Grey's clone created by Mr Sinister.
