Maybe I'll enjoy them more if I see the episodes around them. Though some of the painful rhymes in Crystal Ponies are too painful, even for me.
Ewes rhymes with hues! I quite like the Crystal Ponies song, but only after listening to a nice remix of it. Works surprisingly well as a dance track. Going to be interesting to see what the hell they do with the animation for the crystal ponies in that episode, considering that Hasbro's crystal pony toys are translucent and filled with glitter. Something similar to what they did with the Ursa Major and Minor could look really cool though, so there is that precedent.

"Ponies" wasn't rhymed with anything. The refrain was of an ABCB pattern, with "history" rhyming with "make them see." Observe how it still works if the third line is changed: We have to make this right, Yes we have to make them see, We can save the crystal humans With their history. Also, I doubt the crystal ponies are all alicorns. My current envisioning of them has them very much resembling earth ponies, except for their very disconcerting eyes which have no pupils, only sparkling crystal. My mind is very odd sometimes.

I don't get what makes it so bad. "Make them see" and "history" rhyme nearly perfect. I could understand if the syllables didn't match -- say, if it had been a one or two syllable formation that had been rhymed with a three syllable word. But it wasn't, it was three syllables with three syllables: "make them see" and "his-tor-y." Also, nah. I'm calling it now, crystal ponies are going to most closely resemble earth ponies. * Xanfor continues chewing Twilight's mane.

I should've went to Canterlot Gardens... it was only three hours away. Would've loved to meet Mr. DiMaggio. Maybe next year (if there is a next year)?

But when? ...when? ...WHEN!?!?!
Somebody on the show (I think a voice actor) leaked that they are supposed to announce the announcement of the release date in the next thirty days. That was a week or two ago. So, we're waiting for the release date of the release date. I'd say sometime in November. I was thinking in the shower earlier today about how much Twilight Sparkle worries about the backlash of crossing Princess Celestia. Granted, when I was a perfectionist like her, I was constantly worried about the repercussions of breaking the rules (permanent record?! I should've never left for the restroom without my teacher's permission!). But, it is a lot more fun for the fan community to think that Twilight was not really being a worry-wart and actually had legitimate concern for Celestia's powers. I know every time we see Celestia, she's as down-as-earth as an earth pony, but I do think it would be interesting if she were ever portrayed as malevolent and vengeful. I mean, when it came to foes like Discord and Queen Chrysalis, she was dead-shit serious and did not humor either of them (and, frankly, Discord's hilarious, and everypony else would've thought of him as such if it weren't for Celestia's first impression). I think Celestia may certainly have the tenacity to banish somebody to the Everfree Forest. So, PEELers, what do you think?
