She was in episode 1, lying next to one.

Awesome new Episode yesterday, nice cliffhanger ending... but then they ruined in by showing previews in the credits.

WHY?

Lol. Does anyone here read the comics? I have just watched the show, but the crew I watch it with have read all the books. Apparently it follows the same trajectory as the comics but they weave in and out on some of the details.

I thought it was good and creepy as ever. That herd was very creepy indeed.

We watched the first episode in black and white and played The Walking Dead board game beforehand. I chose Andrea as my character and I won, woo!

I read the comics up to #60 or #70 something.

They do follow the same principle of the comic yes, but also changes a lot too.

Eric Rogers was not pleased...

Jesus H, that #WalkingDead opening was a) terrible b) shit, and c) the worst sound mixing of all time. Get a clue.

Wait... WAIT... I just saw two separate "written by" credits on #WalkingDead. Ummm, hello, illegal credits.

#WalkingDead... 30 minutes in... Know what's happened? NOTHING.

Holy Jesus, #WalkingDead, how about trying to stick to @robertkirkman's books? This junk is NOTHING like the comics at this stage.

Sooo the black dude in #WalkingDead basically cuts an artery in act 1 but in act 4 is all hunky dory? Bullshit. This show is tragic.

Blondie's speech in act 4? Worst writing of 2011. Hey #Whitney, you're off the hook! #WalkingDead #shitshow

And the Emmy for best grasshopper noise goes to... #WalkingDead

I wear my deputy hat so you know I'm the po-lice!! #WalkingDead #shitshow

You know who likes sitting in church?? Zombies!! #WalkingDead #shitshow

#WalkingDead is the best comedy of 2011, guys. I'm serious. Who knew zombies could be so funny!!

In other words an idiot.

I really don't see why we need someone's twitter statuses in here.

And if the show followed the books step by step I bet he would also complain.

I withdraw my remark. That's probably some of his best work.

He wrote 1 episode (The Silence of the Clamps) and 1 part of AoI 1.

Besides that the first 10 comics, then 5 more between #12 and #34. Three Simpsons comics and 2 Bart Simpson Comics.

Seriously not the best track-record by far.

I follow Eric Rogers on Twitter too. He is really cool, don't diss him!

I don't really understand the point in resposting all of his tweets, though. Especially in the Walking Dead thread where there are a bunch of Walking Dead fans...unless you're trolling?

Anyway, the premiere was about on par with season one. Lots of good stuff, lots of good creepy zombie action...but at the end of the day I feel like they are missing the mark when it comes to characters/dialogue/drama. It's still a good show, and I will still watch it, but I feel like it should be amazing instead of just good.

I'm with Eric on this one, it was a hugely underwhelming season premiere.

It wasn't bad TV but it was by far and away the worst episode of the show to date which doesn't bode well for the show's future.

I appreciated the back-to-basics horror we got in the middle when the horde of zombies came swarming through the traffic. That was extremely tense, but it lasted what? 10 minutes?
The rest of the show was just nothing. And it's inexcusable considering that they've got something like 85 issues worth of un-used comic content to base the show on. 85 issues worth of brilliant plots and such but instead they gave us this monotonous nothing of an episode. And it's the season premiere!

I'm someone who's followed the comic for a while (before the show started) and they way they handle the adaptation is odd. In season 1, they basically did the first few issues of the comic on TV, but they added in a load of new stuff too. It's not that they changed things around much, just that they added in loads of new characters and subplots to pad it out.

Reposting legit Futurama behind-the-scenes tidbits in the on-topic section? Awesome. You are doing a great service! Much appreciated.

However, it strikes me as just bit...I don't know...somewhere between weird/pointless/trollish to post his most controversial opinions in the off-topic section. The guy is cool, and I like his Futurama-writing-skillz, but really he's just a guy on Twitter. Like Bend-err said, people don't really care what some guy on Twitter says about The Walking Dead or whatever else.

Don't go overboard. No way is this one as bad as the CDC finale last year. Your complaints have merit, though. In general, I've found the pace of this show to be a bit slow. I wouldn't mind if I connected with the characters in the TV show like I do in the comic book...but so far, I find myself groaning more often than not during the character-building scenes.

I can agree with that.  In fact, I think it's kind of odd that Georgia looks like such a wasted landscape in this show.  Is this what Atlanta is actually like?

couldn't say, don't watch the show. Driving around the city, though, I almost never find myself wondering if I've crossed through some kind of time portal into a post-apocalyptic future. Once or twice a week, tops.

Post-apocalyptic?  Do people of different races really shamble about your city streets like that?  And the traffic I saw in the newest episode was so awful... slowed to a freaking stop; the characters started vandalizing other vehicles and then there was an amber alert. :hmpf:

It was a great episode, very great way to build upon the suspense from last the season premier and introducing new characters to the mix. Ended obviously again in a cliffhanger, but that fits the show perfectly.

Some of the characters do finally get more of a character as well, so all good there-

I know they cut the budget but come on!
