Since Seth is going to renew The Flintstones, will it interfere with American Dad?

If anything, Seth should renew the Sonic cartoon, and make it like AD.  I can see it now:

Sonic - Stan
Sally - Francine
Tails - Steve
Geoffery - Roger
Bunnie - Hayley
Rotor - Jeff
Antoine - Klaus
Knuckles - Bullock
Vector and Espio - Dick and Jackson
Robotnik - Greg
Snively - Terry
Wombat Stu, Big, and Charmy - Snot, Barry, and Toshi
Shadow = Segei
Mecha Sonic - Chuck White
Ari and Hershey- The Memaris
Mammoth Mogal - Prinicpal Lewis
Nack - Turlington

Ok I saw "Halloween on Spooner Street" and "Baby, You Knock Me Out" last night
I liked the Halloween on Spooner Street episode but Baby you knock me out was not so good

Tonight on BBC THREE(uk)  we have "Brian Writes a Bestseller" and "Road to the North Pole" << IN MAY?!?!?
God dam BBC THREE

Tonight on BBC THREE(uk)  we have "Brian Writes a Bestseller" and "Road to the North Pole" << IN MAY?!?!?
God dam BBC THREE

Only Road To The North Pole was shown, but I'll let them off as it's a double long ep. I've been looking forward to this one for a while, and it didn't disappoint. Really enjoyed it. From Brian's queue jumping at the beginning which led to a rather unfortunate situation, to Stewie wanting to kill Santa and proving Brian wrong. The funniest part was where Brian and Stewie tried to do Santa's job and deliver the presents, that led to some classic material. Second best ep of the season so far after Halloween on Spooner Street...

There's one thing I don't get.  How come every season premire and finale of Family Guy, it's always either an hour long (and we AD fans have to wait a week for the AD season premire) or episode involves something with Brian and Stewie?

What's with that?

I wasn't aware that Road To The North Pole was a premiere or a finale, it was aired around Xmas originally I'd assume, so not at either end of the season. Your point has validation otherwise, but seeing as this ep is what caused you to raise that issue, it doesn't have any specific relevants to it...

^^ Sorry for double post but there hasn't been any activity in almost 2 weeks...^^

Road to the North Pole was a fantastic episode so different compaired to other christmas cartoons 8/10

Brian Writes a Bestseller was an alright episode liked the idea of brian getting angry with stewie for not booking stuff for good shows but I hated the live action segment honistly why would you have a live action shot talking to a cartoon? At least it was better than that cut away gag a couple of years ago where that country singer was singing for 3 minutes! 6/10

New Kidney in Town has taken over my all time fave episode Da Boom.
I liked the fact that it didn't try to cram jokes at our faces. WTF was up with Obama at the end though? 9.5/10

Tonight on BBC Three we have "And I'm Joyce Kinney" and " Friends of Peter G"

I thought both eps last night were really good. Lots of humour and both pretty entertaining. I especially liked the joke Peter made about the crowd in the background who do nothing apart from move their eyes etc, that ranks up there with even some of Homer's greatest quotes (shame I couldn't remember the exact wording). Also, I found the previous weeks eps were ok; Brian writing a best seller was the better ep of the two as he was funny being an asshole to Stewie...

*BUMP*

So apparently in the next season of Family Guy Brian and Stewie are going to time travel again, but this time back to the very first episode of Family Guy. Sounds like a rather interesting concept; I wonder how it'll work out...

American Dad needs more, more love then it gets.  Its easily his best show, and has much better characters and writing.

Cleveland Show was never good to begin with, and Family Guy has gotten terrible in half the time the Simpsons has.

Um, American Dad is probably the highest quality of the three, but I find Family Guy funnier, and therefore better. I don't feel good about it, but what can you do :hmpf:...

Family Guy doesn't make me laugh anymore.  Plus it doesn't help when it decides to do a "moral" episode, but can't tell whether it wants to give a message or tell a cheap joke.  They really need to stop doing "gay" episodes, because their message doesn't work when they show all gay people as being pedophiles and sex addicts.

American Dad is a lot less preachy and the characters are much funnier.  I would say Roger is Seth's best creation.

One thing I will say... Seth McFarlane has an incredibly sexy speaking voice.  That buttery molasses voice?  Rawr.  It's audio erotica for me.

I will admit that Roger is ace. I loved his cameo in "It's A Trap". Also, I believe there's a Family Guy ep coming up which is a crossover and Roger is bound to be present, so again should be interesting. I agree that Family Guy isn't very subtle or clever, and the gay stuff, especially with Stewie is kinda annoying, but Family Guy as a whole is still funnier than American Dad is to me...

I do like American Dad, don't get me wrong. I even find mild entertainment value in the Cleveland Show, although admittedly that's Seth’s worst creation to date (until The Flintstones remake comes out that is). As for his voice, he's an amazing voice artist, but his own voice? Never really noticed, but then I guess I wouldn't :hmpf:...

I really was disappointed we didn't see Francine in It's a Trap.  I was really hoping she would be playing Oola (but then again that would mean her getting eaten by that darn Rancor.)

Probably not, but I do know a few straight guys who have to admit, Seth does have quite a deep, sexy voice. No matter how much I hate most of his shows now, I really can't hate him for that deep, buttery baritone.  It's audio erotica, like Jennifer Tilly's voice.

Lol. I gotta ask fellow watchers: How can I explain to someone that American Dad is better than Family Guy? Cause on the surface they are like the same show but what is it that makes AD so much better?

This simple equation should straighten things out for ya...
(FG - flashbacks) + Roger = Superior Show

Yeah, but the flashbacks (as cheap as they are) are often the funniest parts. Roger is great and all, but he can be a little annoying in large quantities I find...

She'll probably be in the upcoming Family Guy crossover ep though, so all is good :)...

Ya thats true about Roger. He's probably my 2nd fav Seth character tho, after Stewie. I used to loooove FG, but now whenever I hear "that's almost as bad as the time I (insert random scenario)" I cringe. Sometimes it really does seem like manatees are writing the jokes with idea balls haha.

That's it! It goes from funny at first, then to painful, next to slightly funny again because of how ridiculous it is, and then I start to lose the will to live as it still shows no sign of stopping. There's also this one of Mick Jagger from the 80's I believe. All I can think is they're extremely lazy and will try to get away with whatever they can when they can't be arsed to write a full ep...

As hilarious as Family Guy is, I don't think it's fair to say that American Dad isn't as funny because of its lack of cutaway gags. American Dad is easily as funny as Family Guy, it's just a different kind of humour to Family Guy's random cutaway gags and pointless Conway Twitty clips.

EDIT: Damn you, typos!

I'm just saying that I find Family Guy funnier and it's often the cutaway gags I find most funny. Sure American Dad is funny too, and Conway Twitty sucks, but I guess it’s down to preference. I like the dumber show more, go me!...

Family Guy sucks now!! It once went from a loop of an actual plot, some cutaway gags, good and well-built-in characters to no plot, constant cutaway gags, horrible and poorly-buitlt-in characters! There's virtually no effort whatsoever into Family Guy nowadays! None! Zero! Ever since I've found a decent sense of humor, I haven't seen the new episodes! Screw them! I've started watching good shows instead of poisoning my mind with MacFarlene's utter crap! Futurama, MST3K, Home Movies, etc, now those are good and creative shows! Family Guy has soooo lost its touch! It's dead to me now. As of the Cleveland Show, why pick the most boring character of the entire series for his own show?? It boggles the mind!! Why not Quagmire or Joe?? There's something called "logic", guys! I could care a fuckin less about that poorly done "spin-off"! What a way to get your shows canceled!

With a sense of humour like that, you'd know, right?

I think Family Guy is better than American Dad overall. In their current states, American Dad is easily the better of the two, but when Family Guy was at its best, it was hilarious even if it was cheaply written. If you take it as a sketch show, it works.
American Dad on the other hand is good, but it's rarely as funny as Family Guy has been. There are less bad episodes of American Dad, but to be fair, it hasn't been running as long as Family Guy yet and it also didn't have to deal with the hassle of being cancelled half-way through its run.

Of course, The Cleveland Show is a steaming turd and I still can't get over how they took King of the Hill off the air to make room for it.
