If you're gonna do that, you may as well get rid of the red dude with horns and the girl in the clown makeup while you're at it. Also, replace Ewan McGregor with someone who actually looks like a younger version of Alec Guinness. His first name may rhyme with Obi-Wan, but that doesn't mean that he should have gotten the part.

The clown and the red guy with horns? You're confusing me.

Ob-wan looks plenty like Alex Guiness and is great at impersonating him. The only complaint I have heard is the differences in accents between the two.

Darth Maul? You don't know his name? HE was probably the best part about Ep.1. As for Padme in her clown make-up, ther is really no excuse for her. Although Natalie Portman makes a great MILF.

Carrie Fisher did forget her anti-jiggling tape in the first film I do recall.

Star Wars owns girlfriend.

A bit more about the Star Wars TV series.

American sci-fi series, filmed in Australia? Dare I say... Farscape?  :p

Just make sure no Kangeroo's stray onto Tatooine Slacky, we're holding you as the guardian.

In other news, I'm not going with a girlfriend but I am going with a group of mates who I haven't seen since I left School for college (Almost a year now I might add).

EDIT: Looked at the article, it seems the TV series will be set on Luke as he grows up, I bet we'll see more of Uncle Owen and Aunt Beuro as well as Luke's childhood friends Fixer and Biggs Darklighter.

I bet we'll see lots of Skyhook's blasting Whomp Rats, if that is the case then I'm looking forward to it.

Fixer and Biggs aren't key characters. It could be on them after all, If not I expect we'll see some stuff to do with Mos Eisley or Jabba.

Either way, It'll be refreshing to see the dawn of Episode IV. The best thing about Tatooine? No goddamn Gungans.

Actually, I seriously hope to all the Gods of man and beast that Tatooine has as little screen time as possible. It's the most over-exposed planet in the galaxy. I am, frankly, sick of it showing up in every other book, video game, comic, and even film dammit! (5 out of 6... not good). It's not even that interesting a planet.

Well, it is iconic.

Of course, what planet would it be if they are filming in Australia?

Seeing as a lot of Australia's deserts are red and filled with plants, I suspect that most of the filming will be done on sets...

Australia's actually got something of a thriving foreign film industry going, for some reason. People like building studios here, right now.

Tatooine is an entire Desert Planet my friend with many different regions, I'm sure I've seen a lot of red rock and plants in the eastern part of the planet in SWG, I do live there in the game.

The only bits of Tatooine we see in Episode IV, VI and I is the Dune Sea, Jabba's Palace, Eisley, Espa, the pod track and the Jundland Wastes.

I expect it might be filmed in interior sets, but Lucas will be tempted I'm sure.

<sigh>

It's not about Luke or his Tatooine chums, and it won't be set on Tatooine, if no reason other then it's a really dull idea. I'll send you every cent I have if it is.

I'm just saying, though. I'd be happy if Lucas did something original but inspired slightly by the EU. Unless it turns into something like those Ewok Cartoons, but with Gungans in it.

It could be set on Mon Calamari, with a little Digital Editing the city of Sydney herself will look like one of the famous floating cities.

I doubt it'll be set on any one planet. I'm thinking more of a Blake's 7 deal, actually. Still, we'll see.

I've read about this show on the SW site, and George Lucas mentioned something about it in the ep.II commentary.
I have 2 words to sum up the tv show : Boba Fett.

I expect it to focus on secondary characters, like Jabba and Boba, instead of Han or Luke. It would be good to see some of Han's past work and how Chewy became his life servant.(Isn't he?)But I'd rather see more of the lesser touched on characters more than main characters in the series.

Does anybody know what channel it'll come on in the US and when it'll come out?

Ha ha ha. My girlfriend suggested we have a Star Wars marathon the day we see episode 3. Watch 1 & 2, go see 3, then come home and watch 4, 5, and 6. She's as big a dork as I am. Best. Girlfriend. Ever.   :D (No offense to any girls reading this.)

So did mine, actually. Though I'm not sure when we could do it, school tends to get in the way.

We get a free dress day at school next Friday (which is when I'm seeing it).  :) I'll get to wear a Star Wars shirt, or if I can get one, some form of costume to school.

As the prequals come to close, I like to thank the good things (Clone Wars Series, Republic Commando, Jedi Stances and Coruscant) from making the pain of the bad things (Episode I, Episode I Tie in Game, Jar Jar Binks and Hayden) not hurt as much.
