My cousin told me once that he saw a Family Guy episode where the whole family (with the expections of Meg and Chris) get into Pokemon, and dresses Brian and Stewie up like Pikachu and Meowth.  I know he's pulling my leg, because there's no such episode!  Once I told him that, he told me that there will be an episode in the _new season_ where the family gets into Pokemon!
I don't know what to believe!  Though I wouldn't be surprised if FG does make fun of Pokemon.

I want to prove my cousin wrong, however, does anyone know anything about the new episodes and their plots?  Or if there is or isn't one like this coming soon?

Kurt, I can safely assume that there will be no Pokemon-inspired jokes in the new FG.  Even though you hate to admit it, Pokemon just isn't that big a deal anymore.  It'd be like when Stewie berated Olivia for still using "Weakest Link" humor...the fad's done with, it's lost its media popularity, etc.

You want to prove your cousin wrong? He KNOWS he's wrong, idiot. He tried to fool you before by telling you this episode existed, then when you didn't fall for it, he just told you it was an upcoming episode, and you actually believed him.

Think about it... none of us know ANY information about the new episodes besides their titles. If we did, we'd have posted it here. If WE don't, why the hell would your cousin? Pokemon isn't the type of show that would get a full-episode parody from Family Guy (although I think a brief cut-away reference wouldn't be too farfetched), he only told you since judging by your nickname, you obviously like the show. You fell for it, you're gullible, the end.

That's just the deal with my cousin, one day he'll say something, and the next he'll change the story.  I never believe him to begin with.  Maybe I'll just email those new FG episode titles I found on TV Tome, and have him judge for himself.

Also, my cousin is the one who thought Zoidberg stole Bender's glory.

I heard the Family Guy staff are shooting for a May premiere.

TVTome.com lists a March premiere.  So who really knows?

It actually might have been March - I was just going off the top of my head, and since both months start with "Ma" you can see how I could easily get them mixed up.

Not that I'm complaining, a March premiere would be much better than a May premiere anyway.  :)

Has American Dad, or whatever, already premiered?

Nope. Premires in the US after that quaint superbowl thing you have.

There's a pilot floating around, somewhere....

American Dad should premiere after the Super Bowl. (February 9th @ 10:30, according to TVTome) It will be cancelled by May.

I was posting at an American Dad forum for a while. It was not uncommon to go a month and a half without a post. The admin probably took it down because he realized what a waste of money it was.

That's pretty much my view on it too. It's not a bad show from what I've seen, it's just, well, almost exactly the same as Family Guy. You could have swaped Family Guy characters into that pilot and it would have probably been funnier.

Can't say I'm that excited. Family Guy's OK, but Futurama is a million times better.

I guess the people want lowbrow potty humor instead of well-written stories...

(By the way, I apologize if my annoyance has offended anyone. Like I said, Family Guy's OK. It's just nowhere near as good as people make it out to be.)

I know I do. I hate things that are well written. I like random stupidity. Then again, I am a Futurama fan(duh).

If you hadn't included this in your post, it wouldn't have offended me at all. This part has. Quit being such a tightass and don't care so much if you offend someone.

Then my job is done.

One of my friends told me tonight that the new Family Guy was premiering tonight. What a load of ass. It was just another old one.

I can safely say I have been counting down to the premier of new Family Guy for at least a year now.

The pilot episode of American Dad is on the FG Freakin Sweet collection I believe. I wasn't impressed. I turned it off after about 10 minutes.

What time after the Super Bowl is American Dad going to premire?  Will a new Family Guy episode be shown then, too?  I've heard it might.  Of course right after The Simpsons.  Because according to FOX, The Simpsons always come first and foremost.

No, right now they're just re-airing the old episodes of Family Guy on Fox. Nothing special, you just get to see the same thing you see on Cartoon Network back on Fox again. Whoopee.

Ive always wondered why doesnt FOX just sell Futurama Production rights to another network. Cannt the Futurama team work out a deal with some other channel that wants to air new episodes.

No, FOX owns the copyright and they're very expensive. No one is willing to plop down the cash for them. Also this is a Family Guy thread, I understand it can be confusing as they both start with an "F", but let's try to keep it to Family Guy discussion so it doesn't turn into a spam fest and Marc doesn't ban everyone again.

Well, according to this release, new episodes of Family Guy are scheduled to premiere on May 1.

Also, this article is the first place I've seen the Family Guy DVD sales figures.

Oh, this is fucking ridiculous. Apparentally, when Fox aired the Family Guy repeats recently, they blurred out the cartoon asses (read about it here). I mean, why bother bringing back a cartoon this offensive if you're going to censor something like that? The episode's aired uncensored before, and it's not like a cartoon butt has never been shown before - The Simpsons shows them all the fucking time. This is just god damn stupid...

My sister was watching TRL a while back, and the retard VJs were interviewing animated characters from various shows, and the VJ named Damien Interviewed Stewie. Stewie slammed him for being a VJ, it was pretty damn funny.  :laff:

Bump.

Thought I'd revive this thread to post an official description of the Season 4 premiere, North by North Quahog:

Quote
From Planet Family Guy:
On the fourth season premiere, "North by North Quahog," Lois and Peter go on a second honeymoon. When things go awry, Peter ends up posing as Mel Gibson, and they stay in his suite, where they accidentally discover a copy of "Passion of the Christ 2."

Sounds like it could go either way (hey, do ANY Family Guy plots sound good when written out like this?   :p). Hopefully it'll try to steer away from an attempt at South Park-styled satire like the description suggests, and just go for general Family Guy craziness.   :)

If the description of the episode matches up with the traditional Family Guy format, that little blurb probably only describes what will happen in the first minute and a half of the episode.

Still though...can't WAIT! One month! Yeah!

That does sound a little like "The Passion of the Jew" from South Park. I mean, how did they get to Mel Gibson's/how did they find the script?

Although I'll watch it, I'm going in on the "Hate Family Guy/Love Futurama" angle, you know, the "Family Guy doesn't deserve it" angle. So, it has to be good, or I'll just not like it at all.

Because Family Guy is old and it's getting repeatitive. If I thought Family Guy was a great show, I'd join some Family Guy Message Board, but I don't, so I'm not.
