In my book Family Guy is far superior to Futurama. But I tried to join damnyouall.net and realized quickly that I was surrounded by idiots. So I ditched that place.

Family Guy's the better show.
Futurama has the better fanbase.

Well, I don't like Family Guy that much. It's on a little lower level than King of the Hill to me. And I find the idiot comment funny.

You like King Of The Hill. Therfore, you're the kind of person I applied that idiot comment to.

Seriously, that show doesn't even have any jokes.

It's gotten alittle, um, lower on jokes lately. I like the older King of the Hill. The newer episodes are drier on humor. As of this moment in time, Family Guy is better. But a few years back, comparing all of Family Guy to that time's King of the Hill, I like King of the Hill better.

People say it's not a Simpsons rip-off but it's hard to not compare Peter to Homer.

Lamp, Family Guy is nowhere near Futurama in quality (or South Park for that matter).

Well, Lampy's gone, so forget about talking to him.

Anyway, I agree with starone's comment. Family Guy is not at Futurama quality, to compare it to its [as] counterpart, and not to South Park quality, to compare it to its probable comparing show, even though South Park and Family Guy are in different kinds of comedies.

PS-Sorry if I get any fan-boys/girls mad at all.

At the end of the day, the dysfunctional family was created WELL before The Simpsons, and so was the typical bumbling moron father before Homer. Just because Family Guy shares these traits with The Simpsons and is also a cartoon makes it a rip-off?

No, but American Dad is more of a rip-off. Look at its characters and Family Guy's and you'll see.

American Dad is incredibly stupid. I hope people aren't stupid enough to watch it just because it's from the Family Guy people.

You're stupid enough to judge it by one episode.

And the pilot, for that matter. A lot of the times, it's one of the weaker episodes of a show's run. (Cartman Gets An Anal Probe, Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire)

I'm not judging the show on the pilot, but that the show seems to have elements already shown in Family Guy, being the family structure is much alike to that in Family Guy. The pilot was average for a show's pilot.

Only a week to the next episode...

Episode 401: North by North Quahog
Airdate: May 1st 2005

In an attempt to put the spark back into their marriage, Lois and Peter decides to go on a second honeymoon, leaving Brian in charge of the kids. In the absense of his parents, Chris has a brief brush with underage drinking, while an accidental discovery soon forces Peter and Lois to run for their lives.

How could they mess up Peter's nipples? Or were they censored or something?

Sounds more or less okay. It's just weird for Family Guy to come back now and Futurama to still be "dead".

Well, it's kind of tough, but I'll tell you. Here's one of the ways I know you can do it (but I'll warn you it might take you a while):
  • Open a thread and call it "Futurama's Back!"
  • Use the   :finger: smiley at least 10 times a day for one week straight, without missing a day
  • Find a post by this guy , click this thing and say something funny
  • Make two more accounts and talk to yourself with them using kool talk lik dis, lol!
  • Always let us know your feelings
  • Don't use this more than 5 times - that's your limit!
  • Make 3,001 posts

If you do all those steps in order, mArc might make you an Urban Legend. Maybe.

Yeah. Back to the Future: The Animated Series.

But i'm still looking forward to the return of Family Guy. 5 Days!

P.S. I know you were talking about Futurama, sometimes I need to clarify myself because a lot of people around here don't know what a joke is, sad really.

I'm not really looking forward to it. Seeing Family Guy on and the, excuse me, very similar American Dad on Fox just doesn't seem right. I shouldn't talk about it much here, being that this is a thread dealing with Family Guy.

So you're having Chester Cheetah & Little Debbie over? What about Bud Weiser? Do you think they're fans of Fox?

Yea, I got it about a week ago.  I thought it was kind of funny, but I was never real big on the show to begin with.  I enjoyed it about as much as any other episode.

I just saw the new family guy episode. The episode kinda like the Jewish one that Fox didn't show. It had a few funny parts nothing big and I've see alot better. It didn't have that much of a story to it.
