Yes, he planned for one piece of merchandise to be able to display it perfectly.

It recognizes some mobile phone browsers and gives them a different layout. Not sure what the iPhone does. The link to the "lofi" version is http://www.peelified.com/?wap2

Not sure what this means.  The line between two threads is missing.

Don't see this happening in either Firefox 2 nor in IE5.5/6/7. What browser do you use?

The newest firefox.  This is the first time I have seen it happen, and I have had the same version since peel2 went nonbeta.

Edit: Just checked offtopic, and the same thing happens in the same place, it is now just different threads.  Now its happening in two spots.

Any possibility to removing the java link when you click inside the cell that contains the thread name in the individual forum views?

I like how the cells light up, but the link itself seems superfluous since the thread's title is a link to the first page of the thread, as is the page 1 link.... furthermore, now that we have the new NEW link, I have a couple of times accidentally clicked on the cell instead of the NEW icon and been transported to the first page of the thread instead of the first new post as I intended.

Just an idea...

Or I could just remove the link from the "new" icon since the arrow on the right does the same.

Regarding FF3: Looks like a bug to me that's not our fault. Not sure if I can do anything about it. I will check if my FF3 does the same. Update: Checked using FF3.0.1 and didn't see this happening anywhere... Maybe some add-on of yours yours? Can't do anything if I can't reproduce it...

I've seen glitches like this happen before in FF and IE. Try scrolling up and down a bit, sometimes the borders are erased and not rendered properly when they're scrolled up from off-screen. There isn't always a solution.

Everybody should just use Internet Explorer. PEEL 2 works fine for me on IE 7.

Changed that account to use " " instead of underscores (log in is still with underscores).

Found a bug!

When your login times out between typing a quick reply and clicking "post" you go to an error screen. The error screen says "you can't post replies here without logging in" and lets you log in. So far so good.

When you actually login, though, you get redirected to another error page, which says "You cannot create new topics in this forum." It says this even if you could create new topics in the current forum, and despite the fact that you were not attempting to create a topic at all.

Very minor, and easily reproduced, just login and set the stay logged in timer to 1 minute.

This is a little bit belated, but here was a comic I drew waaay back when PEEL 2.0 was first made. I hope you like how I drew you, mArc! I watched through your windows at night to gain a better understanding of my subject at work and at play. :)

Mr Marc,

Do you think that there would be a way to redirect us back to the page we were looking at after logging in? Or at least provide a link back to that page? A la Wikipedia...

Several times I am reading a thread, go to post and realize I'm not logged in. So I click the convenient Login button at the top, but when I'm finished it redirects me back to the home page. It would be nice if I could be taken back to the thread I was reading.

Just a suggestion. Thanks :)

That's already how it works if you don't actively stop it from working (e.g. by disabling referrers in your browser)

So how come when I click on the "latest post" arrow on the main index page, the "new posts in this forum" notification doesn't change?

Probably because there are other posts you haven't read....they just aren't the "latest."

yah, I'd thought about complaining myself on that one (nix's), but decided I'd complained enough for one PEEL. I'll save any more complaints until PEEL 3. :laff:

    I could have sworn that
[-mArc-] already posted this but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

How do I get ordered lists in PEEL 2?

The old way used to be...

A list item

Another list item

And so on

And so forth...
But that doesn't work anymore. (Well, not for ordered lists in any case.)
I thought it had changed to...

[li] A list item   <===<< Ignore the
on this line its a [nobbc] bug/glitch  [/li]
[li] Another list item[/li]
[li] And so on[/li]
[li] And so forth...[/li]
But I can't seem to find the right thing to put after the '=' in the "
" tag. Any thoughts anyone?

I don't really know where that post went...

Anyway
Code: [Select]
should work:

  • number 1
  • number 2

other variants that should/might work:

  • none
  • disc
  • circle
  • square
  • decimal
  • decimal-leading-zero
  • lower-roman
  • upper-roman
  • lower-alpha
  • upper-alpha
  • lower-greek
  • lower-latin
  • upper-latin
  • hebrew
  • armenian
  • georgian
  • cjk-ideographic
  • hiragana
  • katakana
  • hiragana-iroha
  • katakana-iroha

New bug discovered! Well, sortof...

I accidentally double-clicked the submit button, and was taken directly to the "there was a post made while you typed" warning thingie, with my own post being the new post made.

Incredibly minor, and I doubt it would've gotten past the flood timer if I'd hit submit again withouit noticing the new post was mine, but thought I'd point it out.

I've had that a couple of times. I just assumed it was tnuk-error induced rather than PEEL-induced.

You need to add the boardseen parameter to the link, on the end before the #anchor. Si you'd have topic=0000.msg00000;boardseen#new

Like that.

Assuming that's what everyone was talking about... :)
