Just realized why "Nibbler's" voice doesn't sound like Nibbler. It's because it's not Nibbler in the flying saucer. Nibbler is standing in the room in diapers and cape when he calls in the Nibblonian strike and they fly in the room.

The Region 1 release date is November 27. If you ordered it from Amazon.com, it'll ship to you when the release date comes. So it'll arrive whenever depending on your shipping method and length.
Also, there has been no release date set for outside of Region 1, as in the UK, Ireland, Europe, and Australia. If you're DVD player is region-free, your best bet is to order it from some place like Amazon.com.

... Wow. This place sure is buzzing... ... Oh! Wait! I got news! It's about Futurama! And it's about a movie! Er, but not about the four Futurama movies... Anyways, we all know that "The Simpsons Movie" is expected to be released on DVD for the Christmas season soon. I have found details online about the Ultimate Collector's Edition of the movie here. According to the website, one of the subtitles available for viewing is Futurama Alien Language 1. However, I was both delighted but hurt over the fact that they cut out a scene at the very end of the movie, after the cut scene when Kang and Kodos critique the movie, where Futurama characters critique their critique. I definitely will have this DVD on the top of my Christmas list. I have never seen so much effort or features to a single movie DVD in my life. How can you not be impressed? And, for us Futurama fans, it gives us hope that maybe the four Futurama movies or beyond will include features such as several behind-the-scene extras, a fan commentary, or a dirty animator's commentary.

I'm still confused. Did I word my post wrong, or does the scene really not exist and never was a thought in the minds when creating the movie?

Some fan with way too much time on their hands made all this up over a month ago. It's actually much better than the real release, but it's not gonna happen...

The thing is, if they splice up the movies to air them near the beginning of 2008 like they said they would, then surely they wouldn't just show 4 eps (one movies worth) and then stop, would they?...

They may mix and match with older episodes with a new episode every week or month or something only TV scheduler could dream up. Did some Googling around and there haven't been updates on the schedule since Summer and those only say "early" 2008. Either they don't know themselves yet, they don't want to tell the competition, or they're waiting for all 4 movies/episodes to be finished before committing, etc.

The episode scheduling dealio brings up a good point indeed. Broadcasting new episodes sporadically wouldn't be good for viewership. Fox showed Futurama in sporadic time slots and in a sporadic order. I think Comedy Central will likely begin airing the 72 episodes of Futurama first all the way through, and then "premier" the new stuff later on. comedycentral.com doesn't even mention the Futurama acquisition at all, not even as a news story sort of thing. It's probably legal reasoning, as it's quite odd that they wouldn't announce their largest acquisition in the channel's history.

Cartoon Network has exclusive rights to Futurama until Dec 31, 2007. CC can't even advertise it until Jan 1, 2008.

I am very excited about the movies, but I'm not looking forward to Comedy Central's lordship over the Futurama catalog. I'm sure that the movies will be set up in advance for broadcast on CC, but the old episodes will likely be cut up bad due to CC's ridiculously excessive commercial breaks.
Ralph Snart--That's an old school comic book name you got there.

I guess this would be news protaining to the release of the movies. I'm sure you've heard of the Writer's Stike on TV. All four movies have been confirmed to have already been written and recorded, but additional dialog recording may still be needed, and with a strike going on, this may delay the process and the release date for the other three movies.

I was going to post about this a few days ago, but I wasn't sure how relevant it was to the movies since they're already written. It, of course, did not occur to me that the strike could still impact the three WIP movies. I don't know how that would work out, but hopefully since the scripts are done (I think?), the impact will be minimal, if it even exists. Regardless, I understand the WGA's position, and I hope Verrone and everyone else involved can come to a suitable conclusion before I go mad from the lack of new The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.

This does suck. I mean yeah it could delay the other three Futurama movies, I doubt it'll delay the second one because I expect even the additional stuff is probably recorded for that by now and it's just being animated now. Still it sucks. It better not fuck up Lost Season 4 because then I'll be equally pissed...
