Hey guys.  If any of you know a really good free host for my site, please tell me.

A preview is at http://www.thecreedsource.f2s.com/news.shtml

http://www.vr9.com  is pretty good, because it has SSI, CGI-BIN, and the good stuff. (Banners though). But I'd try for a network, like http://www.toonwired.com  or http://www.smoovenet.com  if I were you.

vr9 only has 5MB of space per account .. thats too little for any page with more than a "welcome, this is under contruction".

redrope: forget about hosting episodes, no free host is going to let you do that.

To be honest, I think the time of free hosting are mostly over. With the ad payments going down, but the traffic and support costs not, it is just not going to be possible that much longer .. unless ad payments go up soon again.

A free hoster is just one more ring in a chain, why not get a (cheap) commercial host for a month and then see how much you can get through an ad yourself.. although it might mean to have to quit as you could see that ads don't pay enough to equal the costs

Hi!

Try keyweb.de, they got up to 200MB, cgi-bin, SSI
and some other thing. but i advice you, to produce not that much traffic or your site will
be kicked soon  :)
i think they got their site in english too.

Bye

Well, all my sites only take up a few megs, not including the multimedia, which i host on other servers. Meh.

As cheap as this sounds, I use www.geocities.com
I then cloak it using www.cjb.net  which gets rid of the annoying geoguide. Its only 20 megs, but my site doesn't take up too much, and as you said, multimedia can be put on a different server (another Geo account even)

Yeah, that's another thing. CJB.net used to be good, with easy addresses, but now they're slower and have ads and may be soon charging. If you want a good re-director address, go to my network site, Sub-Factor and get one I'll make you; no ads, no more than 0 seconds to direct, easy address, simple.
subfactor.net/yoursite, fast, no pop-ups, easy, simple.

Hey, PR needs a new host... I need something with probably about 10MB, cgi, perl, no pop-ups, but banners aren't a problem. Suggestions?
