New site finally up

My new site is finally up- click here to have a look! Unfortunatley angelfire has banner ads, but at least it works, and the ad setup is much better than some free hosts.

Oh well, please give it a look, I hope you like it   

PS- I'm not sure how it looks at different resolutions, it might be a bit weird at 800x600 and below...

A good start. Enjoyed your fish fetish quip. I wonder though whether you should be typing out entire synopsis for eps, though, as plot is one of the more important aspects of some eps... it's people like YOU who ruined "The Sting" for me! (Alright, 10% people like you, 90% people like myself...) A little messy, but it just opened, so I'm sure it will me cleaned up and groaning with content in no time  .

About the episode thing, I probably will start doing less spoilerising reviews, for your sake and mine- if I write as much as I did for SP3K every time it'll take me too long to do all 72 episodes.

When you say 'a little messy', do you mean the content layout, or the actual look of the site? And do the picture-links at the top of each page take up more than one line for you? As I said, I'm not too sure about how it looks at different resolutions.

Yeah, they take up two lines... but I thought they were supposed to!  Ah well. And when I say 'a little messy,' I meant the content layout... I'm lazy, and I don't like scrolling down half a page to get to the menu bit. Good work, though!

Yeah, I see what you mean about the menu thing, but don't forget the pictures at the top are links too. Strange that they take up two lines, I hope it doesn't look too weird. For me there's just a single line of them, and that's what I wanted.

If by staffing you mean someone to write episode guides/ reviews, then yes! Please email me with any content for the site

It's a good site, however, you should center the pictures at the top. Also, I would put the menu at the top or at the left side. Other than that, it's looking good. (However, I disagree with your reviews of the comics, out of the first four, I think #4 was the best. But that's just me  )

Well, the obvious things like fan art & fan fiction, but I'd also like to include 'guest' episode guides/ reviews and the like, preferably in a similar format to my one on SP3K (the plot synopsis doesn't need to be that long).

For me they do appear centered, so it's probably something that looks different at lower resolutions maybe? I'm viewing it at 1024x768, and it looks like this (half-size screenshot):

You're probably right. I keep hoping that having the picture-links at the top and the text menu at the bottom is enough, but there probably should be a text menu in view as soon as the page loads.

But actually, I initially thought that #4 was close to, if not the best comic when I first read it, but re-reading them for the reviews I decided I liked issue #1 better. I'd be more than happy to include comments or 'second opinions', so if you'd like to write either your own review or just a comment on my review(s), that'd be great

You could just put text under the pictures.

Thanks Birdbot, now I know what people mean when they talk about the 'messiness' of the site. I'll have a go at fixing that. Also, the text under pictures idea is a good one.

Birdbot: Thanks for the framegrab. It's annoying that the pictures still take up two lines, but they should at least be centered for all resolutions now. I've changed that for all the pages now, and also changed the main page sub-heading ('A Futurama Fansite') so it's now on a seperate line from the main heading, and in a smaller font. I've got no idea about that second thing, and it doesn't happen for me, but thanks for pointing it out. Does anybody know what that means/ why it comes up?

I'm using Windows 98 SE and Internet Explorer 6, but I think it must be something to do with Angelfire, as it is working fine now...

I named my fanfic, so you can change the name on your site. I call it "Virtually Trapped". I know it's not a great name, but I'm horrible at making names.

The rest of the site looks good. Now if you could just get more people to contribute!
