Where is the best place to get a site started and buying a domain and stuff?

what type of site? if its futurama message board, then theres plenty of people on this site which can help you out.

You can get a free (yes, free!) domain, try Yahoo! Geocities.
edit: I reckon Professor Zoidy could help. She's excellent with computers.

If you plan on making a media intensive (many and large images, mp3's, etc) website I strongly advise you not to use Yahoo! or Geocities, they have very stringent bandwidth limitations that will more often than not mean your website is offline. Just look at ANSTATMAW.

Try SmooveNet, they offer a lot for little money and include 1 year free domain registration.

Comparison of SmooveNet offers. Good luck on your website.

No, for two reasons...

1: ANSTATMAW is still online just prone to Geocities tight bandwidth limitations.

2: Recreating it somewhere else would be plagiarising (unless it was Andy himself or he gave his permission), which really isn't good form.

CGEF hosted a mirror as a one-time deal several years back, when Andy publicized his interview with David X Cohen. As expected the many visitors would pretty much put the site on downtime round the clock and a backup was created.
