I've been looking through some online Futurama Merchandise and I came across this: Futurama Calender 2005, I finally found a picture but it looks the cover art looks familiar....

I hope that is not the final cover art for this. Although I like the image just fine it is a reuse of an image used for a cover story for Nickelodean Magazine. I hope they guys come up with original stuff. Thanks for the pic though.

Not seen that pic before. Apart from the image quality, it looks quite good. Even if Bendo's right and they don't use it, thanks for letting me see it anyway  :)

Do calm down people, it's only, what, April 2004? I mean, remember some of the preview pictures of the Season 4 DVD boxset? The ones that were just the Season 3 artwork painted green?

Wait 'till December, and if the artwork hasn't changed by then, that's when you should start panicking!

Since the calendars are shipped August 1st, I'll panic sometime around mid-to-late-July.

Then again, I'm just happy they continue making calendars.

True Teral, at least it shows that Futurama is alive in some form or another. Same with the Comics and videogame.

They definatly need to make another Futurama game.

I doubt it would happen though, I don't think the first game sold that well.

And the comics need to be every month damnit!!!

Actually, I am just grateful they are making them at all.

I actually really like the game. Sure it had god awful colision dectection, but I thought the overall fun factor made up for it, much like a Mortal Kombat game.

Glad to see a new calender coming out, thank god Matt held onto the rights for Futurama, on printed mediums.

You got that right.  At least will still get comics and the calender.  If FOX had the rights to everything the fans would be getting zero.

I never said the game was shitty. You can read my review of the game here.

I don't like that cover at all. It's so bleak and un-Futurama-like, and Bender is hardly featured at all. It makes Futurama look more sci-fi than it actually is, and you have to admit, Futurama isn't really very sci-fi when it comes down to it. Perhaps in content, but not in mood. So I really hope they change it!

What I find strange about that cover is that Fry looks like he's wearing a womans top.

I like how you put that... in comment but not in mood.... as compared to 1950's traditional sci-fi.....

Who cares for the cover, if you missed the last 4 calenders like me then any cover will do on the next one!

By the way, I haven't seen that picture before anyway and to disagree with some of you; I actually quite like it.

Can you pre-order them yet?

It's good there still making calenders. I couldn't find the 2004 one for some inexplicable reason because calender stores usually have everything(calender wise). So I will definitley buy 2005.

Ps. Change the cover art a bit. Have the Image be a little more comical. Like, have Bender be a lot more present. Like have Bender kick the crap out of the monster while Leela and Fry run in fear from it.

Thanks for the tfaw.com thing Lee.  I will use that when I order Futurama stuff on-line.     Has anyone used tfaw.com before and have some info on the shipping time and stuff like that.

Plus for those of you who don't like the artwork, what would you suggest they do?

I am happy to see they are still making merchandise after being canceled. I didn't get the 2004 calendar because by the time I found it, it was already 3 months into the year.

I pre-ordered mine the other day on Amazon.co.uk along with the Futurama Adventures Trade paperback. Quick, snap them up before they're all gone and you're all back here in six month complaining that you can't get copies of them

Although that is the final design for the cover, sadly, I pre-ordered it also along with The Simpsons: 2005 Fun Calender and the Family Guy 2005 Calender.

Amazon haven't got a pic up for the calender yet, and as such since I'm still not convinced. Not that Amazon are always right with their cover art, but if it was the final design I would have thought it would be up by now.

HooHa!! The good news is that the image shown at the top of this thread is not the cover art image for the next calendar. The bad news? Well, there is no bad news. The more good news? Head on over to my site to take a peak at the cover art.
A Big Piece of Garbage
Special thanks to the Bongo Godmother for delivering these to my Inbox. I hope to have the other images mentioned in my update in the next day or so.
Enjoy!   :D
