why hasen't katey sagal done any of the dvd  commentaries? I haven't seen any tv shows or movies she been in recently so why is she absent?

She's on the TV show "8 simple rules [for dating my teenage daughter]." Unless that show got cancelled, which maybe it did. Isn't she also a singer or something?

Maybe for the Season 4 DVDs on "Devil's Hands" they could do three extra commentary tracks.  1) with all the voice people only (inluding Katey), 2) with the annimators, and 3) with the writers.  Heck, if you want, throw in a fourth with Just Groening and Cohen.  Give everyone a chance to comment on the whole series.

Would be nice, but not going to happen. The commentary tracks were recorded about the same time as the Season 3 tracks, and DXC has already said there will be 19 tracks: 1 for each ep and a second track for Jurassic Bark, about the writing of the ep as it has been Emmy nominated.

I hate Futurama.  I thought it was going to be "The Simpsons" in space, but then the writers wrote clever episodes that made me feel stupid, and unexpected endings that scared me.

No, it's not cancelled. It'll be back on with new episodes in a month, at the very same time slot it's have been all season (Tuesdays at 8 P. M.).

I think the DVD Commentries are the best part of the DVD! I think they are all so funny and I'd love to work with them if the show does make a comeback. I hope to hear Katey on the Season 4 DVD Commentries, I just love her! :-D

If she isn't on the season 4 commentaries of Futurama, then maybe she'll do something on the Married with Children season sets that are coming out in the near future.  I just like her speaking voice, and her, so much that I'll even watch 8 simple rules.

to have her as leela i just dont like her acting or her voice. and its weird because every other regular does about 50 voices an episode. and she can only do one.
maybe they went over the budget with everything else

Not having her on the "Biclops built for 2" commentary was a real shame.  The one thing I wanted to know about that episode was how Katie Sagal felt doing that big a practical joke on herself.

But hey, I also wanted to see if Billy West would comment on working with Tress as Buster and Babs, then as, Idunno say, Farnsworth and Mom.

She's an actress, not a voice actress.  Just like Yeardley Smith from The Simpsons almost never does any voice besides Lisa.

It's odd that no one during the commentary mentions the connection.  Maybe they thought it was too obvious.

She's an actress, not a voice actress.  Just like Yeardley Smith from The Simpsons almost never does any voice besides Lisa.


yeah i know, but i assume on simpsons they wouldn't have been able to get much better because of a tighter budget. i wouldn't have thought that would be the case on futurama
i guess they have there reasons for wanting her

She used to be a backup singer for Bette Midler and a lead singer for some weird sounding group. I'm sure she does some singing somewhere still.

I wish she were on the commentaries. Billy West on the second season DVDs was a little annoying and overall, the commentaries were worse than the first season ones. It's like they weren't into it at all. And they kept joking about that too. They mostly laughed at certain parts, remained silent or went on about really uninteresting unrelated things. I kept saying to the screen "I don't care!" I wanted more tidbits of info about certain scenes, or basically anything having to do with the episode we're watching. Is that too much to ask for?

Yeah I also noticed that, Im not putting them down or anything because I like to hear them talk about random stuff but, I would be nice to know some inside episode info.
