Just read this in the rumours section of The R2 DVD Project:

"We also hear that "Futurama Season 4" will get a release 17th of November."

Bearing in mind that that site doesn't post rumoured dates straight away, the Nov 17th date may have some weight behind it...

Your best bet would be The R2 Project.

All episodes from production season 4 will be on the season 4 DVDs.

How unfair.  They gave a 25% discount on Season  3, and I even got 50% (!) discount on season 2.  Amazon usually reduce the discount as the release date nears, too...

Basically, once Amazon has it up, it's offical, 100% certain that it's coming out. Atleast that's what I've found. It may sound a bit too trusting, but they've been right with every other season. Unlike other sites that have it available months in advance and then keep changing the release date ever few weeks. So my advice is to order it now. I have always recieved my Futurama DVDs from Amazon on release day or sooner!

And no, I don't get paid to suck up to Amazon, I just think they deserve credit where credit is due.

Amazon are good, but for the Season 3 set they did have the wrong date for a while, and they posted the date for the Futurama game long before it was released, and it went on to be delayed for over a month!

I find Amazon very trusting too, that's why I'm so happy to finally see it up there. But they have let me down before not so long ago. They had the Futurama game advertised for pre-order on Gamecube, but then it got canned right at the last minute. But I know that won't happen with the DVD's

Oh yeah and I agree with you on the Season 3 cover SixByNine. It just looks slightly smaller than the other. It's not, but it just looks it. It's also a bit flimsy. And I think that the back ground is too dark. Just as well that the actualy DVDs are perfect then.

season 3 is nowhere to be found in the U.K
i saw it in shops everywhere at first but didn't have the money at the time, then a few weeks later
i see it in one shop but they'd raised the price
and now it seems its sold out everywhere. its wierd.

BlackStar.co.uk are offering it for £32.99, which is slightly cheaper than Amazon.

As for the Family Guy S3 DVDs that User_names_suck referred to, I wouldn't bother with it. Just wait until November when Fox are releasing all the series in one box set with all the special features the Yanks got. Means I may be spending another £50 on DVDs on top of £30 for OFF S3, £30 for Futurama S3 and £15 for HIGNFY Best of the Guest Stars. Not to mention TTT SE.

I doubt they'll do the same for Futurama as they are doing with Family Guy, as the big box set is in response to fans' upset at the lack of extras. The Futurama box sets are already littered in extras and they would have to put a lot more on to sell them to the same people again. If they do do a box set, I doubt it will have anything extra on it.

Notice that Season 4 is already climbing up the sales rank. Although it's only at 210 now, when I first ordered my copy a few days ago it was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down the list in the hundred thousands area! That means that within the last few days a fair few people have ordered it, and it's not even out until Novemebr!
Also, (I know that this is pretty pointless, but i'm gonna mention it anyway), I was reading the Amazon user reviews of the Season 3 DVD just after I bought season 4. Some knob who reviewed the set wrote a short but very possitive entry, but then forgot to give it a star rating, so the rating was still set to the defult 1 star. As a result the overall average of the DVD has come down from 5 stars to 4.5. I know that it effects me in no way, but I just think it;s stupid

Are you ordering from outside the EU? Because then VAT doesn't apply (it sucks, I know, UKers, because the sales tax in the US is waaaay lower).

To summarise:

X times 117.5 = £35.19

So 35.19/117.5 = X = £29.95 (or close enough).

What happened with the S3 set was that the price dropped about a month, month and a half before sale time (and pre-order prices dropped accordingly). So I wouldn't rule Amazon out just yet.
