Whichever version I can get to run on my PC - most likely the PS2 version. (Yes, it's very much doable. And no, I won't get into it.)

This Just In: As part of its pre-E3 briefing, Sierra has announced its plans to release a game based on the TV show Futurama. The game, which was previously announced for European release, is being developed by UDS and is scheduled to hit the PS2, GameCube, and Xbox on August 12. The game's story centers on time travel, with the main characters going back in time to stop Mom's plans for world domination. The game will feature 25 levels spanning five different environments. The cinematics have been written by the show's original writing staff, and the game is said to contain the equivalent of two episodes' worth of content. http://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/action/futurama/news_6025618.html And with the time travel involved that may explain this picture: Think of the dial-ups!Future Farnsworth with his head in a jar perhaps?

I asked the person behind the counter at Electronic's Boutique (EB) here in Brisbane Australia, if they had a tentative release date on the Futurama Game.
They queried their database and it didnt show up any results! I asked the same at "Bris CarSound / Software Today" and they didnt have one either!
I hope this doesnt mean its not comming to australia!
hmm might have to order it from overseas...

Is it still coming to Europe / Australia (PAL countries)
I bought a GameCube a couple of weeks ago and the Futurama Game was one of the top reasons for parting with the cash! Not happy at all!

There won't be a PC version, but you can run a PS2 emulator if you can find a decent one. (Or wait 'till someone ports it to the PC, but don't expect it to be a legal copy.) Oh, and by the way, you honestly do not nee 3GB of RAM. Hell, you don't even need 1.5GB. Spend that money on a new video card or something.

You misspelled "fear". In cases like this, the word you're looking for is ph33r. What you meant to say was "ph33r my 1337 b0x!!!!!!!1111". As for doing research, typing up a paper, browsing and posting on several websites and playing a game or two all at the same time - been there, done that. Also managing 3 computers and eating while doing the above.

The PS2 may be the least advanced technically, but for my money the differences between the three consoles are pretty negliable for the most part. The people that choose PS2 do so because it has games they want to play, simple as that. I myself may pick one up down the line for several platformers I really want to play and a few other games, including maybe this if the GC version doesn't release (which I'm 90% sure will be the case). Stop hating consoles and just choose your systems and games based on what YOU want to play. On the subject of a GC version though, while it would seem that the console wont have a version at immediate release, I wouldn't be entirely suprised if they port it later if the PS2 and X-Box versions sells well. Some games are ported to one console (like GC) after it sells well on others (like The Sims sold well on PS2, and so was then ported to the other two). And as it is, they were already producing it for GC, and may even still release it in other regions, so it wouldn't be too difficult to port. For the good of spreading Futurama's legacy to more gaming systems, I move for all PS2 and X-Box owning Futurama fans to buy this game, or at least make sure to if it turns out its good. Us GC owners are depending on you, and it'll further the legacy of this great show.

Very well put, DoTheBartman, especially considering the tone of the original post. Personally, I'll stick with my PC , but if I do buy a console (which I probably will), it'll be the GameCube. Simply because the games which I would want for PS2 come out for PC anyway, and the same for the XBOX. The GC's the only one with proprietary titles which I actually want to play. Plus I'll never forgive the PS2 for stealing away the initial releases of the GTA games .

Also Sony is the reason that a "next generation" GTA isnt out yet (ie one with multiplayer and good graphics), Sony want first release rights on their next generation console, so development has been slowed, sure it'll be a better product in the end, but its still annoying...

The poll says: 3. GameCube 11 23% ::Snickers, then starts up Vice City, you know, on my PS2?:: Originally posted by emanon: :eek:When will people learn that PS2 is a pile of crap compared to XBOX & GC, why buy a Pinto when you can have a Porsche for the same price!! I'll take my fully loaded Dodge Stratus (read: PS2 has more good games than the 'Cube or XBox put together) than your bare-bones penismobiles (read: Gamecube: Zelda, Rogue Squad, XBox: Halo). I base my console-related decisions to the GAMES, not the technology. Gameplay beats out fancy graphics any day of the week. Why do I own a PS2? The Final Fantasy series, Kingdom Hearts, GTA3 and GTA:VC. Why did I buy a GBA? Golden Sun, and Earthbound, eventually. Why did I buy an N64? Perfect Dark and Goldeneye. Why will I buy a Gamecube next? Legend of Zelda and SSB:Melee. When will I buy an XBox? The day Halo 2 comes out. So, in answer to your "question," the top 3 reasons why people love the PS2: 1. Games 2. Games 3. Games Originally posted by winna: they've locked themselves with some of the best 3rd party developers in the business. It's only the games, but you just wait those developers go and Sony won't have a leg to stand on in the gaming community. So games make the console. Thank you for proving my point. $3000, getak? So, what, it won't become obsolete for another 3 hours?

I agree with many or your points, but you're being almost equally arrogant honestly. Part of the reason I DON'T own a PS2 as of yet is that I don't have any interest at all in RPGS, which seem to be one of the most prominent genres, and some of the other supposed killer apps like GTA don't interest me for other reasons. Meanwhile the GC has some stuff I HAVE to play, like Super Smash Brothers, Rogue Leader, and Zelda. That isn't to say there's anything wrong with preferring Final Fantasty and GTA over those, I just happen to prefer GC's exclusives personally. And since consoles and games do infact cost a little something called money (another reason I have only the GC so far), that also restricts me from owning two consoles for a while, meaning I initially had to make the choice of which console had the games I personally wanted to play.
The moral: its not even worth arguing over which console is better, because everyone is just going to have their own taste in games, and will pick their own consoles accordingly. The best thing is obviously to own all three but not everyone can do that.

Which is exactly the point I was looking to make. Sorry if it came off as biased towards the PS2 (well, I am, but again, it's because of the games). My problem is with the console fanboys who make all of their gaming decisions based on FPS, polygons per inch and whatnot, and insult other consoles for being "inferior." My diatribe above was not really directed at you, the person who actually buys a console for the games, but at Captain "Pile of Crap" up there who apparently thinks graphics are more important than gameplay.

Fully agreed then. I also find arguments about console technical ability (especcially when the people arguing obviously don't know what they're talking about) to be so pointless, since it doesn't make great games. Hey, my SNES, Genesis, NES, N64, and now Dreamcast may all be "inferior", but they play great games, and that's what matters.
