I'm wondering exactly the same thing, I would really like there to be some Futurama comics on sale in the UK, but unfortunately I don't think it's going to happen.

You HAVE to find a store in the UK that sells Futurama Comics. I buy them in Oslo in NORWAY!!! You can't let Norway be better than the UK, can you?

a head manger at bongo comics said titan comics should start printing futurama comics in UK soon.  he actually thought the first few issues were released.

But if you cant wait, pre-order the trade paper back book of #1-#4.

OT: Spent a summer in Köngsberg many many years ago. It was like a three-month orgasm, and I mean that non-sexually. Norway rocks.

It's Kongsberg, without the ö. And is there really anything interesting to do there, or were you just stoned all the time?

Norway for newbies:
1. There are no eskomoes or polar bears in N.
2. N. is not the capital in Sweden.
3. We don't use ä or ö in N. We use æ, ø and å instead. (Are we crazy or what?!)
4. We don't "yodel"
5. It's not fair that the summer olympics gets more publicity than the winter olympics.

Sorry. It has been a long time. I wouldn't say the night life was incredible or anything, but it was such a clean and beautiful place, with wonderful people (even the punks were well-mannered--at the time, anyway. I understand there has been trouble since), great food (I can never find rice puddin' like that anywhere else), and a relaxed atmosphere. If I couldn't spend the rest of my life in rural Japan (workin' on that right now), I want to spend it in Norway.

Okay, I forgive you... for now.
The advantage of moving to Norway, if you speak English, is that we don't dub movies and tv-shows here. Just ignore the Norwegian subtitles and you'll be okay. I don't know what they do in Japan. If they dub movies, I'd never go there! I could never live in a place where I have to watch TV in a foreign language. (By foreign I mean non-English)

Ahhhh Alberta. THe only province without PST.
Every other province makes you pay more taxs, (Provincial Sales Tax) but there. In Ontario its 8% i believe. Plus 7% GST, = 15% on everything.  :(

Subtitles annoy me greatly Tor the only copy of HHRHGB i have is dutch subtitled. You get used to it.

You complain about that? Norway is probably the most expensive country to live in. We have to pay 24% "GST" for everything except food (only 12%). And gasoline sometimes cost over 1 american dollar per liter.
On second thought, Don't move to Norway unless you're incredibly rich!

Yes, but when I saw a US movie in Kongsberg, the audience would laugh at the jokes--reading the subtitle before the line of dialogue was completed--making me miss the gag...

One thing I liked about Norway: because everything and everyone looked normal but everything from newspapers to billboards was written in Norwegian, for a moment I had the giddy sensation of having been transported into some alien reproduction of Earth. It was pretty trippy--especially when I would wake up at two a.m. and it was daylight outside. Then I saw women sunbathing topless and forgot about sci-fi horses**t for a few months.

As for Japan, it is a similar system: no dubbing; rather, Japanese subtitles. Cartoons used to be dubbed, but I think they may be subtitled now as well. (Maybe, maybe not. I can't imagine little kids dealing with latter-grade kanji symbols in rapid succession...)

Issue Seven plays it straight from the start that it's a What-If story; however, Issue Eight plays itself as if it were an "Imaginary Alternate World" story until...

My local Forbidden Planet(by phone).

Me:  Do you have the new Futurama comic?

guy: Let me check.

(long absense)

guy: no.

me:  do you stock Bone comics?

guy: lemme check

(huge absensce)

different guy:no.

i walk in the next day and find several crisp issues of bone packed neatly on their own card board display shelf in the middle of the store.

the next day i rang and complained only to find i had previously dialed a wrong number and called a pot party.
