What are the differences between the different region dvd box sets other than subtitle languages?

Because I live in Australia and I always see pics on the internet of US sets that have a different box, one with a slip over cover with more pictures on them and see-thru bits.

In Australia it is just kind of like a cardboard rectangle dvd shaped box with a slot in the side to slide the thin dvd cases into. In your opinions what are the best?

The Australian ones are more impressive to look at where as the thin versions of the dvds are more effeciant in the amount of space they use up for storage. My season one is American where as my seasons of 2,3 and 4 are Australian. Also with the American DVD's at the start you only get some FBI thing then a Fox thing then your in the main menu. With the Australian DVD's (As you and I are familar with) you get copy rights of all those various contry which seem rather pointless for Australia.
