it turns out that i was in whsmith today and i saw the back of a simpson comic and it revealed that the futurama/simpsons crossover will be released soon and what's more, people will have to buy the simpsons issue 103 to get the first issue of the crossover and buy futurama #17 to get the second part and according to my calculations the first part should be out in the middle of February

jerkberg, the earliest with the latest

EDIT: the next futurama comic will be number 15 and will be released on the 13th of january

Thanx for the info, but does this mean that Simpsons Comics #103 has a storyline which needs to be read in order to fully understand the new Crossovers? If it does, then this is quite an understandable move. However, if not, then it's a bit of a con for those who aren't bothered about the pure Simpsons Comics...

This isn't the first time a Simpsons Comic has came with a Futurama one in the UK (and vice versa). There was a mini edition of a Futurama Comic given away with a previous Simpsons Comic earlier this year. I'm assuming that this Crossover will be full size though, because if it's just a mini comic, then that's a real con...

However they could be giving it away as a mini issue with that Simpsons Comic, and there could be a full size version sold separately. That would be a good idea to help get fans of the Simpsons Comics interested in the Futurama Comics...

Which one of these scenarios will happen is what I'm a bit confused about at the moment ...

And onto my final question; if the first part of the Crossover comes out in the middle of February here, will it still be released in January in the US? I hope this will be the case...

Yeah I'm referring to the second part, as in the 3rd and 4th Issues in the series of Futurama/Simpsons Crossovers...

Bah, another smartass marketing scheme.

They've always been trying to get simpsons comic buyers to buy futurama comics, with things like the mini-comics, the adverts everywhere, and the poster that came in 2 halves, but making people buy a comic they don't want?

Thats going too far, unless the crossover is attached as a freebie... (unlikely, but we can hope)

it's annoying because i have to go out of my way to buy the simpsons comic because the futurama ones are sent to my house, not a damn shop in my town the sells futurama so i get it delivered to my door plus i also have more news that there will be a free homer and bender poster with issue 15 of futuramawhich is hopefully the issue were they will show my art but still i doubt that

Anyone got UK Issue #15 yet? I picked it up today, kinda scavy how it's only half the real Issue. Also, for those interested, it previews the second part of this Comic to come out in February. The cover art is nothing new, it's merely taken from the 2004 Calendar. It's from February ironically, but it's just slapped on from that...

Scavy indeed...

There I was hoping for some gorgeous new art to wave at America, but no, they won't give us that, just some extra crappy letters and a doubled subscription fee. Bastards.

Meh, I'll still buy it though  :).   *Does the kooky fanboy dance*
