Hi, I don't know if anyone here has ever heard of the computer game Escape Velocity: Nova.. it's out for both mac and PC, released shareware by ambrosia software.
(www.ambrosiaSW.com/games/evn)  Anyway, I'm working on a Futurama conversion for this game!  :)  The basic idea is you play as Leela, piloting the Planet Express ship through space, doing a variety of missions.  ;) It will feature graphics/sounds/music basically straight out of the show! I'm posting here because I have a problem, and need some help.  The finished patch will be on the order of 60mb, and I do not have the web-space to post something of that size.. and then there's the issue of copywrite.  If anyone has suggestions about dealing with these two issues, please let me know! thanks everyone.

I suggest looking for a cheap webhost, or looking for a friend or someone who is willing to give up 60mb of Webspace for your patch.

Freewebs.com offers 100mb of space for free. But there's a catch, you can only upload 50 files.

It seems like the concern should be copyright, not space. I think the game idea is cool, and I've never even played EV:Nova. This may be something you want to pass around your friends to get to friends of friends and finaly out into the world...like the game "grits" (play ultimate frisbe?).  I have to admit to being computor nieve, but, is this something you could put on a disc? Anyway...Sounds groovy...How far along are you?

EV Nova? I don't wanna pay money for this game!

Sure it's good, but i'm a cheapskate. I used to play the original two as shareware, and all was good, I try the third one, and I get blown up in three seconds!

"Remember to register your copy of EV Nova" The evil prirate taunts as he flys away from my smoldering remains.

Endren you blork you havn't answered my questions.  You havn't been working on this game either, when there is such an audience for it. I know it is tedious and time consuming and you would rather play Bridge, or Unreal, or snoo snoo.  I can accept this, but at least communicate with me!
Ok, I've vented, enjoy your day and ferme votre chenne a la bouche.  :)

Ok fine.. I admit the project has sorta been on hold for a while.. but as season 4 is coming soon, I guess I should get back to work.  If anyone wants a little update (i.e. is still interested), the game will include missions based directly from episodes (e.g. fighting against the Omicronians, Bender-bombs, landing on the garbage ball, etc.)

Hmm... *but the snoo snoo would be pretty good*..
*baby, it will blow your mind*
