A quick look at the GameFAQs for the most recent Hunter game shows "Phantom" as the most likely candidate, a purple mist that wards off monsters.  That's not in the corebook I pirated own, so I don't really now where it came from.

Ward's not purple, last I checked.  Well, not specifically.  And it only blocks supernaturals.  If you're going for the Sunny D commercial reference though, I guess it could be.

Plus I've never played any of the Hunter video games, so I'll take your word that it's colored purple for the sake of OMG SFX there.

Hmm...you know, I think I'm just going to declare this the new Gamer thread.
