I was mucking around with Bryce over the weekend and somehow produced this :- It's called The Dragon's Eye.

There is a Futurama work in pre-production at the moment, but not saying any more than that.

Thank you sweet, merciful Jesus. third pic this week that's got to this stage, and the only one I can say I'm happy with. Thought I'd lost the knack totally there     :p Anyway, it should show Leela on all fours looking up at...? Will we ever know?

Hope you enjoy, and that it gives a moment's cheery diversion     :)All comments, opinions and criticisms of any kind are very welcome, as always    :)

Still only a sketch, and there's a lot wrong that needs fixing; if you've got any ideas on how to fix legs, feet, know what Leela's right arm should be doing, or what the overall theme/setting is - or if you notice something naff that needs attending/erasing - please share, I'm getting stuck     :(

Well, it's better than what I could do on most occasions. Anyways, here's a scan I made. Enjoy or bash it however you please; the other one's in my thread. I made two.

, Damn the URL!!!

Edit: Fear the uneven lines thanks to standard MS Paint!!!

I also must ask if that's Danny Fenton. Nevermind, I saw your other thread.

You never fail to floor me with your sketches, Marcus.  I wish I could come up with a plausible story for your second picture, but I'm coming up with two completely different stories: her hand and coy expression make me think she's breaking into something (like a safe that she just happens to know the combination to), but she looks like she's sitting on some sort of steed.  So, unless she's stealing something from Fort Knox on elephantback, I've got nothing.

And thank you, everyone, for the kind comments.   :)

Nice sketch Marcus. But something about it does not seem quite right but i am having trouble putting my finger on it. I think it may be the legs the lower half of them sems to close to the body (I think) and might look more natural if they were splayed out abit more.

This on the other hand may just be a personal thing but her butt does look like it could do with being alittle larger (no much mind) and if she is sitting on it flatter at the the bottom.

Other than that looks good. (actually reminds me of a pic I saw on 4chan, yes i am tainted, called masturbation is not just for boys)

Cheers Wu  :)

I think one of the problems is that the line of the spine _doesn't_ marry up with the buttcrack (as it were) - the backside is very centred, but I wanted to show the torso was swivelling round - I think if the spine line was corrected it'd help. Knees are already (more than?) shoulder width apart... don't think they could be splayed apart any more!

Poor Leela's rear already went through several contorsions to date, but maybe it is a little petite given the rest of her! And she was originally meant to be resting on knees, torso parallel to the ground, hence the pointiness  :)

Try reversing the pic, flipping it over 180 degrees, see how it looks then, or even 90 degrees (left or right). Can't decide which way to present this pic, but with the corrective spine lining to better match up her legs and torso (which is the nub of the problem you mentioned, I think - it looks rather like a collage of body halves, doesn't it?  :)), and perhaps making her a little meatier, it might just work!

I've been away from the internet too long. wth is this '4chan' I've heard mentioned so much this week?! Do I not want to look at it on my uni computer?  :p

Thanks for kind words also, Professor Zoidy and Nasty, ego feels well buffed!

@ Officer 1BDI:

What a nice thing to say, thank you!  :D Glad the coyness of expression came through, that was first Leela expression I've done in a while that worked  :) As for idea - lol, good one! But FemJesse got there first showing that scene, not going to even _try_ and compete!  :p

I see what you mean by the knee's, what I meant was having the ankles out further, balece the load more so to speak. i can see what you mean about the back, perhaps it would help to have the left side of her pelvis  to be pulleed more to the right.

As for 4chan, probably not a good idea to look at if there is a chance of other people seeing. Also be warned once you have seen it you can not unsee it.

Aaaahh, I get it now! No - the lower legs/feet never really worked that well, I'll definately try your ankle idea   :) And if you alter the spineline, you do need to check the pelvis, yeah...

<4chan... dare I google for a link? Oh, the mounting tension...   :p>

I was wondering if they are any 'official' hex. or RGB colours for the Futurama charecters. At the moment, when I scan things I'm just going off the framegrab for the colour which sometimes doesn't look right.

Can someone tell me if they are? Or what they use? Thank you  :)

I just used the colours off the framegrab, but I wrote them down for future use.

Ooh, I quite like that one - MS Paint gives the lines a certain unevenness that actually works as a visual effect. Not brave enough to try for owt like it in my pics, but congrats!

If I may, though, did you copy the colours from a screengrab? They often come out a little dark that way...

@ Marcus: Yes, and no. Some of it saved that way (I saved it to GIF), the jacket color I got from one of Fry1077's scans of Fry, and his hair color was from the original grab of the picture from GCEF.

@Fry1077: Thanks. I can tell they have, simply because I can weasel my way out of GIF files saving badly. Most of the time..

Out of interest for some, a completed version of a pic from further up the thread!

It's pretty... underwhelming, I must admit, and that's a shame, because it looked really promising as a pencil sketch. Oh well!

As ever, opinions welcome, but I know it's a little bit 'meh', so dinnae worry    :)

However: Leela's Port Hole, Zero-G ( )

Funny - the 'Porthole Leela' pic looks a little different than the one that you sent me.    ;)

You don't give yourself enough credit - the pic looks great.  She has an expression on her face that she's actually enjoying herself - a very rare occurance.

Pat yourself on the shoulder for giving the unwashed, untalented masses a pic of a happy Leela.

Not as much an opinion as a question... do you ink your sketches before you scan them (and then do that Photoshop voodoo you do) or you scan them directly and do the "inking", coloring and shading in the 'puter?
