Probably, B_F, you see that the mouth connects at the edge. Nice job on it none-the-less.

Heh, yeah. Switched it back to normal laptop mode now; it's one of those "convertibles" where the screen pivots so it can be a laptop or a tablet. (The only kind to get, unless you can afford to buy many computers and do a lot of graphical work.)

Next to some of the work on PEEL, my little doodle looks kinda crappy, but since I'm a programmer, not an artist, and I was just goofing off anyway, I'm pretty pleased.  :) I just wish I'd fixed the bow-tie and coffee pot before I colored it in; I'm too lazy to fix it now.

For anyone that liked my fan art you are about to read some bad news. I have now stopped doing all Fanturama fan art and I have no plans to do any more fan art. But I do have one more sketch that I want to post here (I just have to scan it)
Once I get my own cartoon style figured out properly I'm planning to do some comics but other than that I'm doing car drawings, plus after school, work, sporting, mapping, and some other stuff I have very little time to draw out side of school.

Ever screw up totally?    :) I did. First pic of the year, conceived in haste, now repenting at leisure! Waste of time trying to finish it, but I thought someone might get a passing moment's interest out of it.

Idea was a pissed off Leela beating up people, 'Naked Aggression' (as it's an embryotic sketch with undefined 'bits', I don't think there's any need for censoring!). As I say, it was a stupid, spiteful idea I wish I hadn't pursued, but it got as far as a face and a name, so...   :)

Hope it makes sense.

Thanks Ralph, very kind of you to say     :)

What's _bad_ is that I found myself pleasantly surprised with the actual drawing; after a few false starts, knocked some of the rust off. But the idea, the feeling, behind it was so bloody stupid... I'm ashamed of myself, can't believe it was me that thought of it.

What's _worst_, though, is that someone very kindly asked, before I started this pic but after I had the idea for it, if I'd be interested in doing a pic to go along with a story they'd written.

D'oh!

Should have said yes, or at least taken it as a sign and come up with a different idea. Knob-end-ically brushed the offer off, too...    :nono:

Och well, dare say we'll all live, but it's still a pity  :hmpf:

Will have to try again, with a more Marcus-y idea. I still don't like to think where that one came from...     :(

Feedback is the only way the artist knows if he/she connects.  Positive feedback is even more rare.

Leela is a naturally aggressive character - she often reacts to situations out of instinct, so the idea of her fighting is not out of character.

As for feelings of shame - I don't see whhat you have to be ashamed of, but it's art, it's undestandable and it's riveting.

You do what you feel is right.  Don't let yourself be forced or guilt-tripped into doing something that you don't feel comfortable with.  You'd never forgive yourself.

heh, cheers! But straight lines are hard, though, be fair...    :) drawing is just placing a whole lot of curved lines in the right juxtaposition. And curvy lines are easier    :)

And more fun, I think (  )

Curves... Hm...

So far I've studied trig, geometry, analytical geometry, ststistics, and two semesters of the calculus.

I know curves.

I still can't draw worth squat...  :hmpf:

Gah, straight lines - my nemesis.
Much like circles as well, ironically...

As is general anatomy right about now, so I take my hat off and say "Another good piece of work, Mr Marcus"  :p
I have to say I still find it quite tastyeful. Really  :)

Aw, I'm owing thanks all over the place!

@ SpaceCase... you know the maths-stuff?!  :o You officially rule... I'm taking a major refresher course for my dissertation - need enough knowledge to work out statistics - serious brainache! 'Genuine talent' might be pushing it a little, but every so often something good ends up on the page and people like it!  :D

@Zed: lol  :p cheers man! Pic using straight lines (pc generated), circles (pc generated), and general anatomy (pencils, at last!  :p) working its way through system... hope it ends up tastyful enough for peel!

@ Ralph... Thank you; seldom known your like, online or real life  :)
