I can beat that!

Jeremy Irons was in Die Hard With A Vengance with Bruce Willis
Bruce Willis was in The Jackal with Jack Black

EDIT: Because apparently, Jackal has an a, not an e.

Here's a long-ish connection:

Halle Berry was in X-Men with Patrick Stewart
who was in Star Trek: Generations with William Shatner
who was in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock with Christopher Lloyd
who was in Back to the Future with Michael J. Fox.

Michael J. Fox was in Back to the Future with Christopher Lloyd, who was in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock with William Shatner, who was in Star Trek: Generations with Patrick Stewart, who was in X-Men with Halle Berry.

There's probably a shorter connection, though.

Good enough for me. Lan.gnome, you were first.  Sorry I was so vague.  I meant you, in the first place when I noticed that you used the same connection as David A.

You bet. It doesn't hurt to have X-Men in there; when my friends & I play this in real life, a few movies crop up over and over. Ocean's Eleven, Apollo 13 (both for leading men), X-Men, the Lord of the Rings movies (for Brits), James Bond movies (for hot babes), Zoolander and similar cameo-laden comedies all show up a lot.

Edit: The new pair is Bill Murray and Ellen DeGeneres.

The theme for this challenge is "People Thought You Were Hot Once?"

So, with that in mind, tremble in fear as I ask you to connect:

Liza Minnelli and Shelly Duvall

Mr Fuzzywuvems got it in 6... mw got it in 3.  Well, if I know anything about which number is bigger than the other number, I'd say that it's mw's turn!

And seriously, people once thought both Liza Minnelli and Shelly Duvall were attractive?  So glad I missed the peroid in history when that was the fashionable look.

They're both coyote ugly if you ask me.  :p

Alright, I'll provide another theme. Here's one for the Star Trek crowd. Connect the captains of the Enterprise-D/E and DS9, Patrick Steward and Avery Brooks. Kinda tough unless I'm missing something obvious. Wouldn't surprise me, though.  ;)

I'm not 100% sure about the rules, but movies only here. Else it would be a no-brainer.

Why? Got a connection involving Star Trek movies, go right ahead and post it. Avery Brooks wasn't in any.  :p

I just didn't want anybody to say "Duh, they were in DS9: Emissary together".

Avery Brooks hasn't done but a couple of movies...
But he was in 15 Minutes with Kim Cattrall...
Who was in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country with the other Star Trek Captain, William Shatner...
Who was Star Trek: Generations with Patrick Stewart.

Yeah, it's easier with Star Trek movies, but so what. It's not like anybody can win anything here.  :p

The shortest I could come up without Star Trek movies was 5, via Excalibur/SW:Ep1/Big Fish/Fight Club/American History X.

Anyway, Delta-V is up next.
