Winna, bite my white, hairy ass.
As for the ep, I got home from work, checked on the wife-person, sat in front of the TV and hit my DVR to satch last night's ep of BSG - it didn't record. For the first time in a month that I've set it to record, the cable went out for over two hours. That means my internet and telephones were out also - no big deal since Kelly always has a cell phone within easy reach.
I hope it runs Sunday night and I can get the repeat recorded.

What a great awesome episode..
-Baltar talking about god to a Centurion: priceless.. but the ebst was that the centurion was listening.. too bad poor centurion got toasted...
-Cylon pilots!! and even they have uniforms (well, exposure flight-suits) only the helmets were left out..would love that.. and it appears as that six said that they train as much as the Viper pilots do..
-That D'anna joke was cheap.. its was a cheap tension moment, still afordable
-Ok now come one of my thoughts, one thing i cant understood that i would ask RDM if i could.. -The Hub is gone, so is the Cylon capacity of download.. because alltought there are still resurrection ships arround, the hub is needed to control them and allow them to download.. fine, i can buy that.. but.. WHY IS THE HUB IRREMPLAZABLE!! I explain.. in season 2 when they destroyed the resurrection ship.. many of us speculated "Why they dont just build another?" ..and they did that.. eventually another resurrection ship appeared there and the download capacity was back.
So.. the hub is gone.. so what? is a frakking machine.. a frakking ship.. The must be able to buld another!! Is not like they dont store the blueprints right? That hub was developed and built sometime between the old war end and the attacks , 40 years, so building another should take less than 40 years.. ok, 40 years would mean resurrection is out for the rest of the series, but not "forever!".. there is a Cylon homeworld out there, they have shipyards.. what prevents them from building another right now?
If there is something they should answer that and stop with their misserable "you have to have patiente"
we only have one season episode left.. ony 11 left in the entire series.. and there are still TONS of questions without answer and if you look in forums and blogs the writers keep saying "you will just have to wait , be patiente"
They still have NOT answered why the fleet lost power all ships at once in the ionian nebula and why they all recover at same time and how the Cylons had found them..
-the best line of the episode:
"You are not married to the entire 8 pruduction line Captain"

I'm pretty surprised Roslin thought it would go easy. Did she expect D'Anna to be so grateful for being reactivated (which the Colonials didn't even get to do) and rescued she would spill the beans right away? Pretty much giving up the only leverage she had in regards to both (Colonial and rogue Cylons) groups. Lost a bit of respect for her political talent there. Also it seems the old agreement that the military handled their own matters, without political interference is moot. Otherwise Agathon would be able to stand his ground on honoring the alliance. And you gotta wonder if Helo had pressed the issue and Roslin had "relieved" him, would any of the pilots actually care? Lucky for her Helo is an honest man, though too bad he didn't follow his instincts in this episode. WHY IS THE HUB IRREMPLAZABLE!! It might have more to do with "software" than the actual vessel. The Cylons must have some insanely huge database and complicating processing programs to keep track on all the various copies, memories, personas, ensure the right cylon get into the right production line, etc. When the hub went, they were wiped too. While this could be rebuild for the next generation, all information of the currently activated copies is gone forever. When they die, it's for good because the new hub wont recognise them. So even if the Cylons could build a new hub, it wont do any good for the current population, neither skinjobs or raiders. That's the only viable theory I can think of. As for the resurrection ship, they never said it was the only one. Just that it was the only one following the fleet that pursued Pegasus. They still have NOT answered why the fleet lost power all ships at once in the ionian nebula and why they all recover at same time and how the Cylons had found them.. Given how much they were able to cram into the final 10 episodes of DS9 (which RDM worked for), I wouldn't worry about not getting answers.

So uhh now we wait like a year to see the last 10 episodes?
The earth scene made me think of "earth after humans" or something like that, it was on wikipedia a couple of days ago. You can watch the discovery channel episodes online.

OMG NYC the only place on earth! http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BigApplesauce @Winna: I think the NYC crowd is basing that in the bridge that I posted that kinda looks like the Brooklyn Bridge but not really (2 pillars instead of 3). I'm not convinced it's Earth, though. They went through a seemingly large amount of trouble to NOT show any visible landmasses in the establishing shots (compared to the end of Crossroads Pt. 2, anyway). If the new series still loosely follows the plot points of the original, the planet they're on could very well be Terra. Another interesting theory I read: All this has happened before and will happen again - man creates Cylon which creates man which creates Cylon, etc, in a never-ending cycle. Man creates Cylon, which destroy mankind, then create mankind (see: skinjobs). The thirteen tribes (perhaps 13 nations?) were originally from Earth, but were forced to flee when their robotic creations created their own skinjobs and destroyed everything. These Cylons eventually repented and rejoined humanity as they settled in the 13 colonies. The Final Five are actually from this generation of Cylons. Eventually that which should have been remembered was lost, and humanity built a new set of Cylons, which in turn created The Sinister Seven. Failing that, my newest crazy theory is a Firefly crossover.

[[If you know or care nothing of the Super Dimension Fortress: Macross franchise don't bother highlighting]] As stated in a previous post-OK, suggested, Now I'm actually going to state it-This is just the same ground Macross hath trod back in the early 80s. OK, given Macross was formulated as Original Battlestar plus gundam with f-14s thrown in to make it contemporary. The plot then rolled on to interplanetary war, alien culture shock, Love triangles and pop music. It was a show so multi-faceted to the edge of incongruent to ever be re-made. Still reinvented Battlestar has taken enough out of the old space fortress for my red flags to finally start going up. Begin: The fanboy ranting rage.
First is the major Political figurehead and the grand fleet commander started out butting heads, and then falling magnificently [back] in love ala Miria and Max from Macross7. I kept my mouth shut, because there was so much more dramatic intrigue to be fleshed out. Besides I like the ideas of headstrong but well-intentioned military leaders falling in love with stubborn but golden-hearted politicians, if nothing else than to make me believe that such people can exist in the real world.
Second common plot point: The mandatory 'fall into the enemy hands and escape by a miraculous fold operation' plot point. I felt no need to speak up then because battlestar did it on such a jaw-dropping scale with such boner-inducing action sequences what was there to really complain about? "Exodus" is fucking awesome.
Then of course the inevitable "I'm in love with the aliens" shtick. Battlestar is well equipped for this because all the women are modern day hotties that were not animated by the Studio Nue C-team. If any of the Zentradi spies inspire more romance out of you than 8s 6s or 3s, it's time to get your head checked.
I recognized and quietly welcomed all the parallels that I have seen thus far, but coming back to find earth has been nuked to oblivion, and thus nullifying the entire search in the first place, that's the common thread where I draw the line. That's the part of The original series that really hit me hard all those ten years ago. Now you've officially taken too much from Macross for my tastes. Still, I can't move my feelings about this past mere frustration for a few reasons:
1. The Macross plot kicks ass (though it has moments of poor timing and budget constraints) and who wouldn't borrow heavily from it? 2. The cast of Battlestar is so damnded talented it could make the ghosts of sir Alec Guiness and Laurence Olivier cream their ethereal pants. 3. Even a ripoff can be perfectly justified if it's a well executed and brilliantly presented ripoff, especially if it's of a massively obscure source with but a few raving mad fanboys [Pitt] to call you out on it.
Maybe I'm going a bit too far here. I'm willing to face facts that alot about one of my favorite cartoons was really not that great, while at least 3/4s of Battlestar is certified Mind-blowing. Quite frankly, comparing Battlestar's execution of episodes against Macross' is like comparing a railgun to a slingshot. The Battlestar episodes cover more ground. The plot twits are more terse, the graphics are better, the characters are a bit more engaging. It's just kicking ass. What I'm essentially wondering is if your car is faster and better than the last one you were driving could you at least take it down a new road?
After I get by all my "Hikaru and Misa forever!" lunacy I know I'm still going to hang in there for 2009.

Well.. i saw it saturday.. i think it was awesome (compared to some others season 4 ones), the stand-off part (airlock human, now Lee treatens to airlock cylons, starbuck runs from the starboard to port flight pod to stop instead using a phone, etc) seemed a bit too forced.. -So now they finally found earth.. and it turns its leveled.. well there are still 10 episodes, webepisodes and maybe a movie left.. but it was predictible.. i mean, i knew that if they find earth, it would be something nasty, either allready destroyed, or Cylon ocupied,, or the humans there would nuke or try to the fleet.. or another nova.. etc But at least they got there finally.. and the scenes of the last jump and the fleet arriving are awesome, you see them and you think its really the end of the journey.. -Many people is asuming thats NY-Brooklin because they think thats the Brooklin bridge.. well sorry.. it may be , but there must be a hell lot of bridges like that one, and it was much destroyed.. i wouldnt be surprised if it turns out its not.. but we will se or RDM will say something.. for now: It appears that RDM has said thats indeed earth, just like he confirmed the 4 Cylons to be real cylons after season 3 ending -Starbuck's 0-km Viper turns out to be the key.. but again its at a precise moment and not before.. the same moment when 4 of the final 5 again listen music.. when they began to listen music again i tought that there was going to be another fleet wide power-out, and that finally they would explain why the hell the fleet lost power in the ionic nebula , but no.. i was wrong again and they still have not .. still they are realicing now that something or somebody is orchestating all.. -Anyone more has noticed that Roslin has put foot on earth when the prophecy said that the dying leader would not? That means she is not the dying leader, or earth is not the final promised land ..or both.. -Tory is so a cylon bitch... its quite funny how she turns evil sudenly while the other three are wiling to sacrifice themselves to safe their captive comarades or the fleet.. and Tory not only did killed Cally in cold blood, but sudenly she cames into the battlestar and smiles , and now she goes "Im Cylon so im better than humans and now i think they are pitifull and weak".. still.. i really believe she will have it final season.. Galen will find out what she did to Cally .. time will tell. -Revealed the 4 cylons.. Adama reaction was great, but the given away of Anders and Tyrol was a bit cheap.. curiosly and linked to the previos text block, the male three decide to stay in the fleet .. only Tory decides to leave the colonials We have been more than a year waiting to see Tight being revealed as a Cylon and finally is here.. Oh.. as i said, there will be webepisodes to fill between and probably a movie, alltought is unknown if it will be another "prequel" movie like Razor

You know, somewhere in Cylon heaven Cally is probably pretty pissed off right now about being killed by one of her own. At least if D'Anna and the Hybrid in "Six of One" are reliable.
As for Earth, my initial reaction was something along the lines of "Frak!". Now I'm having the same thoughts as Javier, that if the Scroll of Pythia is correct (and so far it has been), this isn't Earth (or Roslin isn't the dying leader that will lead the people to a new land) since the dying leader wont live to see it. This might be an "Earth Mk 0.8", the first planet the 13th Tribe settled on. The war we see the results of might explain why they arrived at Earth without most of their advanced technology and knowledge.
