So that reveals.. presumibly.. who the final isnt.. lets go down that had a bit too much spoilers that i would want but is ok...
Fewwww... not Adama nor Roslin Cylons.. thats a relief... altought i had readed when the final 4 were revealed.. they asked Ron Moore how they decided who would be the final cylons and he said that it couldt be Adama or Roslin because that would destroy the series... but is not the first time they lie to us... renember when they said "a main character will die" and then Kate Shackoff anuncing she had finished her work in Galactica... and then it was only a move to caught people by surprise.
But now who is missing in that table.. well of the main characters Dualla, Gaeta , Zarek (if we can call him main character) and very doubtfull but the misteryos final cylon being close to Tight may suggest... Helen? she was killed but being a Cylon she may come back.. altought we dont know if those 5 final ones can resurrect as there are NO spare bodies for them in resurrection ships
I dont like Lee being a civilian...i hope he gets back to Vipers soon

And now it's time for some baseless speculation on the identity of the 12th Cylon! This time, I'm going to be looking at the ages of the actors portraying the 11 known Cylons. In spoiler tags, of course, just because of Teral. - Caprica - 33
- Boomer - 33
- Tyrol - 36 (but his given age in the show is 30)
- Tory - Unknown, but presumably of the same age group as the previous 4
- Anders - 37
- D'Anna - 39
- Doral - 39
- Simon - 40
- Leoban - 47
- Cavil - 71
- Tigh - Unknown, but his given age in show is 71.
So if you look at them, you can see three distinct age groups, or perhaps model years, if you will. You've got Caprica, Boomer, Tyrol, Anders and Tory in their early to mid 30s, D'Anna, Doral, Simon and Leoban in their late 30s-early 40s, and Cavil and Tyrol in their 70s. Split it up and you've got 2 in the first run, 4 in the second run and 5 in the third run. 2, 4, 5. I propose to you that the final Cylon comes to us from that initial run, making the progression 3, 4, 5. And who do we know that's of age with Tigh and Cavill? Dr. Cottle, of course.

So overall looks like a good show. If the episodes live up to the pilot, I expect to follow this show for a long time. Anyone who'll recommend bying the DVD's rather than wait for the episodes to air? I think it is worth getting on DVD, Amazon.co.uk is currently selling the first three series in a boxed set for £40.

By Winna: it almost seems strange that you haven't seen it yet, The airing of the show (and the timeslot) on Danish TV, have been too erratic and confusing to allow it. But they promised to start from the beginning in the new year, airing episodes every weekend during primetime, so I decided to check in. Naturally, they didn't deliver on their promise, the first episode after the pilot was #36 (without spoiler alerts even!) So after 4 years of avoiding learning anything about the new show (apart from production pictures) I already know about New Caprica. Nice job, Channel 5! Well, looks like I'll take your advice and buy the DVD's. By tweek: I think it is worth getting on DVD, Amazon.co.uk is currently selling the first three series in a boxed set for £40. That's the one I got my eyes on. With the weakening of the Pound it's even a mere 400 dKr (bought domestically it would more likely be 3 times as much). By Javier Lopez: So in this new version they simply put humans in the role of the original Cylons.. they wantesd to eliminate aliens to increase "seriousness" and for what i have read because Olmos and Mcdonnell had both stated that if some alien appeared they would left the series.. I can see that point, but for me they simply replaced one cliché with another, an inferior one even. Also, for a show that sports robots which look and acts exactly like humans, down to the cellular level, throwing a hissy over aliens seems a bit presumptuous. Meh, as it is it's not a big deal as such, and if it saves a few bucks for better CGI and models so be it. And now I'll head over to Amazon.co.uk... And then I'll go skiing in Trysil, Norway

Well the "Cylons looking as humans" owns more to "Blade Runner" than to cheap the production..wich is probably right.. I like very much Helfer´s acting.. at first i was too exceptic about her, specially after learning that she is a model , i thought "oh no, here goes another bimbo who doenst care a shit about her performance or anything save money and modeling" .. but in the end, after all seasons im impress with her... Virtual Six is the more model like encarnation.. but giving her so many more roles, all being the same yet all diferent make her looks like a good actor.. this all comes because she said that when production began.. and she was told she was to incarnate a robot..but a "human" robot wich acts like a human but is not a human.. she had not very clear how procede..then Olmos aproached her and told her to watch and study "Blade Runner" wich had precisely that kind of human robots wich pretend to be human and even some dont know that they are robots.. she said that Blade Runner was the base for the Cylon character.. I like her acting more than many times Mcdonnells.. i liked Mcdonnell as she was an old known face and her performance in the mini is excelent.. but sometimes.. you see her with a funny face.. almost smiling when people is being killed or the entire human race faces doom... sometimes she acts great..but some others you have the sensation that she is not taking this seriously and that she will explode in laught when someone talks about Vipers or FTL drives.. BTW.. RDM saying the because of the strike we may never see the end of the series? Its not funny.. thats a bluf.. how in hell a beloved series would be cancelled just for a strike... wouldnt that mean also the cancelation of all series on hold? and where i can follow the strike progress?,

Nope.. that was the Cloud 9 and was indeed blown up by a depressed Gina ...i find funny that she choses to massacre 7000 civilians as means to revenge from the crew of Pegasus, she surelly could had smugled herself and the nuke aboard Pegasus...same as she escape from her before ..and blown up Pegasus... In the upper hand we had Pegasus saved for 1 more year , in the lower hand, the biggest civilian ship got nailed.. Im speaking of the Space Park , the big ship with a ring rotating structure.. she is now the biggest civ ship (1.200m long, Galactica is barelly 1.500), housing of surelly a lot people .. NOOO THE SPACE PARK NOOO PLEASE ANYTHING BUT!! fine..we then blow up GalacticaNOOOO GALACTICA NOOOO ANYTHING BUT! Then Space ParkNOOOO how about that beer 6 pack ship?Mmm... middle acceptable.. Couldnt they blow up some nasty one? like the Prometheus? I really hope the misile hits we see her taking its the only one and she scapes with that damage only.. Like i said.. at this pace no civ ships will reach anywhere...more than 1 lost in the 33 crisis (Olympic carrier and some other ships as stated by Billy) 3 or more lost in Cloud 9 blow-up , unknown number lost in New Caprica (Ron said some were shot down) and 2 more lost in the passage.. lets have in count that there were originaly some 80 ships.. now we should have 70 or so

Just finished "Exodus, Part 2", need some sleep but I'll try to post my thoughts tomorrow. For now I'll just say this: I love this show! If it can keep churning out quality stories like "Occupation", "Resistance", the "Home" two-parter and "Kobol's Last Gleaming" BSG might just topple DS9. You heard me! Speaking of DS9 vs BSG: is there some union law demanding Canadian actress' in sci-fi shows to be unbearably cute? By actress, I mean Nicki Clyne (and Nicole DeBoer) and by cute, I mean

It's been confirmed that the prequel spinoff Caprica has finally been greenlit and is beginning casting now.

I doubt it, as I remember hearing that the series will take place when William Adama is only a child, ten years old at most.

Top 10 reasons to watch the new season of BSG (from last nights Letterman). Standard Letterman fare (ie. more miss than hit). The only funny one was #5, #1 and #9 were mildly amusing, the rest was meh. Which reminds me, I better get around to watching the rest of the episodes sometime.

They killed Kat!! They killed one of my favorite BSG characters! Damn you, Moore. Damn you, you magnificent bastard. Well, the Big Writeup™ took longer than I expected (hey, there's a lot of characters to cover) so I decided to go ahead and see if I can jam in all the final episodes before season 4. After the brilliant "Collaborators", the average "Torn", the solid "A Measure of Salvation", the underwhelming "Hero" and the 50/50 "Unfinished Business" (loved the scenes with Roslin and Adama, pretty much resented the melodramatic Starbuck/Apollo/Dee/Anders menage-a-quatre) I get this? The murder of a character I've enjoyed watching grow naturally over the series, from a frightened nugget to someone who can out-Kara Kara? If only it had been for a better episode. The plot is barely there, hopefully there's a pay-off later, because there wasn't here. 2 scenes (and a few touches here and there) saves the episode: 1) Kat's deathbed; both her conversation with Starbuck and Adama rings true, particular Adama's refusal to listen to what Kat have to say about her past, because he already know everything about her he need to know. Screw Seymour, this is a character death that affects me. Even to the point of getting misty-eyed... ::sniffle:: 2) Tigh returning to CIC; you gotta love his reaction to the applause. A very nice bit of continuity that Gaeta didn't join in the cheers. I would be pretty miffed too if I had gone through the same ordeal in "Collaborators". Surely, The Circle apologized to him at some point, right? Tyrol absolutely, Seelix as well, but I wonder if Tigh and Starbuck ever got around to it? Barolay and Connor probably don't care. Also, please make the scenes on the basestar go somewhere, or have the Cylons vent Balthar. I don't care which, just no more myth mumble-jumble, please. Anyone else getting an Adam West vibe from Balthar when i deduced the Hybrids riddles in less than 60 seconds? "Holy hyphenated hybrid, Batman!" Now, I'll try and return to the last few episodes. RIP Louanne "Kat" Katraine.
