The next one however is based after Final Fantasy VII. Frankly I cna't wiat for Final Fantasy: Advent Children it looks so good.

That really kinda pisses me off. VII was the best damn Final Fantasy. Hell I'm putting it #1 for RPG's. But it didn't need a sequel. the ending as it was was perfect. I had heard roumours way back that it was being re-made for PS2 and I really was looking foreward to that. But now it looks like they were in refrence to this sequel. Shame. But the screen shots sure do look pretty. Full of mixed emotions. I hope it's a better sequel then FFX-2

I find it so ironic that natalie portman gives a much better performance in a better, darker more intellegent film as a child.
it seems an odd thing with child actors, you can appear in films you supposed to be too young to see.

something that needs more sequels is the never ending story

You have got to be kidding.... the 3rd one blew ass.... the first two were my favorite child-hood films.. residing next to The Dark Crystal... but the third one ruined the entire experience.

& Yeah I can see the childhood actor movie irony.

but i think with FF7 its kind of good because to some extent you can interpret how the characters as its just text, if an actor reads lines, they can interpret them differentley, and the beauty of final fantasy games is that it can have slow conversations between characters.and you dont get long elaborate plots, which is why a film wouldn't work.
also FF7 ends on kind of a cliffhanger, the only next step in the game could somehow be resurecting aeris, but i dont thats what the film is going to be about.

oh by the way what happens in FFX-2 does Tidus come alive again somehow

I never said they were talking about Voice work for it. And I hope they don't The English work for FFX was Bad.

FF7 doesn't end in a cliffhanger. It ends in an interperative manner but it's not a cliffhangar. I liked it that way. (What do the sounds of children mean?)

As for FFX-2 I don't know. I still haven't gotten more than an hour into FFX. (Tidus dies? Great.....) But from the reviews it's an all girl cast so I don't think Tidus comes back. I don't know. I just heard it was sub-par.

sorry interperative was the word was looking for it escaped me for the moment

but i'm assuming the film will have voice work.
and FFX was alright, made acceptable by the fact john di maggio was in it. although strangley the worst acting was on tidus and yuna

annoyingly 2 brilliant games metal gear solid 2 and FFX were ruined by having whiny voiced characters with stupid blonde hair

Yea which is especialy a shame in the case Of MGS2. Which otherwise was a fantastic production. The plot on the other hand....a little out there.

and FFX really had the feel. At least with Tidus. that they were handing him the script pages for the first time when he was reading them to the mic. It's hurtfull.

It's obvious that not all the movies need a sequel.
It depends.
But mostly the movies that make a sequel are because they are already deteremined (LotR, Silenece of the Lambs) or because of the boxoffice.
But some movies get ruined because of their sequels, (Hint: Matrix)
I think Shrek 2 will be miserable too.

Spamtacular.

I hope Shrek 2 is good and it should be if they keep to their "take the piss out of classic stories" format.

Guys, what you're doing right now is exactly what they're talking about (Yes I realize the irony of me doing it too). If someone asks you to stop something just stop. You're just making it worse when you start a string of "I'm sorry" posts.
And no SlurmGuy don't put a post after this one starting with "Please, don't blame me!" I know it isn't all your fault.

Welcome to Peel(ified) Bill dude.

I thought that BTTF needed a sequel because audiences probably said "Wha?" with that last shot.
The sequel  COULD'VE been better... Just saying.

The second one..... I can understand.. can't say I agree... but fine.. I can see the logic.. it was at least better than the third but I think it jumped entirely too much for my taste and I thought the ending was fucking horendus, because I liked the third one as a kid but really...... the franchise just didn't fucking need it.... I think it was a rushed production and well... an uninspired story,as far as the third went.

I want more BTTF! I liked the hovering train!

Also, how did Doc Brown have those two kids Jules and Verne with Lorraine? I'm pretty sure adoption wasn't much of an option in 1885

Yeah, I guess I did mean Clayton.  Gimme a break, it's been a while since I've seen that movie.  I was pretty close.

At least I didn't think that Doc Brown was having kids with Marty's mother.   :p

Fast and the furious didn't need the sequel 2 Bad 2 Crappy. Neither did Stuart Little or I know what you did last summer, or The land before time as one poster said.

The Matrix needs another sequel. (Dons flame proof jacket)They left a few things open for another one and they should do it. Hmm.... The Matrix: Ressurection? Neo becoming a angel program? White trench coat? Hey, it seems to me the dude ain't dead, so it's possible.

I agree, with Space Pilot... The third one was too flashy and not enough in-depth and it left so much more for the ending. I mean
I thought it was even worse than the 2nd one. I mean I loved the first one. I LOVED IT. The glory is so underrated even after the A rating from everyone of the first one but the sequels were rushed, marketed to shit, and finnaly just blown outta fucking proportion... Did anyone actually play that FUCKING game... The damn people at Warner Brothers just ruined the franchise terribly by taking all of the focus away from the artistic direction of the Wachowski Brothers. Damn you Warner Brothers... Damn you. In my rants FUCKING conclusion I think that there needs to be a sequel just to end the goddamned story;
, but that is not my art to meddle with so all I can do is supply my opinion and I really don't care if anyone wants to hear it I'm gonna say it anyway... If you do.. thanks.. if not... fuck off.

Alright that's cool... I am harsh... I love my sci-fi action movies to the point that they should be perfected before shipped and that the action scenes shouldn't be drawn out so horrendusly long and that they shouldn't have forced release dates... EVER... but hey.. thats hollywood. and I'm still in agreement with the extra WELL DONE sequel idea, dispite our opinions of that certain topic... damn WB....
