Tomb Raider didn't need a sequel.
I would love to see a sequel of The Nightmare Before Christmas, at least a movie told in one of the Holiday towns.

Movies where the story was originally written to be continous need sequals, to close the story. And movies which were originally intended to be stand alones, yet were popular, don't. Although they can occasionally be good, they aren't needed. It's money's fault.

They're making a sequal to Luc Bessons classic hitman movie, Leon. If Natalie Portman learns how to act and they don't give it an insanely stupid title (i.e. Leon 2) and or plot, I think I'd look forward to it. Damn, "Matilda" is already taken.

So far they have made crappy sequels to almost all there films (Although apparently Lauran Tom is part of of the Mulan sequel). Just because they can't think of any more orginal ideas (then again most of their films where based on other people's stories any way) does not mean we won't to see poor quality straight to video sequels. I also personally wished they had not made Terminator 3, it crapped on the previous story lines. Also there was no need for Batman Forever and Batman and Robin (I'd love to shoot the guy who put nipples on Batmans costume) However I am quite interested in this Batman year 1 thing. There are very few films who have sequels that exceed the orginal. The best sequel that springs to mind is Evil Dead 2 : Dead by Dawn. That film rocks my socks.

I think X-men and X2 were meant to be a part of a bigger franchise. I mean X-men was essentialy just exposition setting up X2. (x2 was the first sequel I liked better than the first movie.) Movies that didn't need sequels (the very short list: Kill Bill The Matrix Lord of the Rings:the Fellowship of the Ring (Just Kidding Ghostbusters Back to the Future Saturday Night Fever Short Circut The Gods Must Be Crazy Crocodile Dundee Bill and Neo's Excelent Adventure. Men In Black and many more Movies that benefited from a sequel/franchise: X-men The Terminator Alien Army of Darkness (Evil Dead 2's sequel) The Bond Movies Indiana Jones (except I hated Temple o'Doom)

She was ok in Leon, other than that, she's a piece of (nice) ass. Matilda in Leon is the best performance of her's I've seen, she was good in that

I'll have you know I still like the orginal. It's the other five million that bear its name that should be burned. The sequel that never should have been made would be Home Alone 3 and 4. 3 features an entirely different kid and 4 tries to use different actors playing the characters from 1 & 2. Didn't work.
