Considering how painfully unfunny the comic strip is, I almost dismissed the show before I saw it. Turned out it was pretty decent. It's no Home Movies, but it's funny enough.

It isn't that bad, although I woul'd never say it was for kids, it had more of a "family" audience.

(if it was for kids the baby would talk)

I thought it was a nicely drawn show...

I like the comic better than the TV show, but it's okay.  I mainly only watch it to hear the theme song...  :hmpf:

I liked the comic strip better too. the show is horrible. It tries to be edgy and i hate those stupid neighbors. ugh. its the worst show on adult swim and they seem to show it 4 times per evening

I always think the humour is toned down in a comic, just look at simpsons comics

Hasn't it crashed and burned like so many 'me-too' animated network shows? I've only read the comics in the papers.

I love that show. I think its unbeleivably funny. The ovices bother me though, because all of the voices are out of other shows and it drives me nuts trying to think of whos voice it is.

BTW, who did that song, "Its all been done"?

Barenaked Ladies. Off the "Stunt" album. Nix, I'm surprised you didn't answer this.

I've never read the comic strip, but the show sucks. And it's totally out of line with the rest of the weird, funny, badly animated stuff on Adult Swim. Screw the WB for pushing their lameness onto Cartoon Network.

But since we're on the subject of failed animated sitcoms getting rerun on Adult Swim, what do you people think of Mission Hill? It's not great, but I think it's worth watching. They should air it after Home Movies instead of Baby Blues.

Wow, never heard of the cartoon or series.  I thought you were asking about the soft-core porno fliks a Toronto TV broadcaster shows every Friday at midnight.  :flirt:

There was a scene on one episode where two of the neighbors kids were "Playing Catch With A Cat"...That had me rolling on the floor laughing.

Funniest thing I ever saw.

I know, the background scenes often have a sick reference in them.

Well, I finally saw an episode of this show the other night.  It wasn't as good as the comic strip.  In the comic, most of the humor revolves around the two kids, Zoe and Hammie.  On the cartoon, Hammie isn't born yet, and Zoe is still a baby and doesn't talk.  The show seemed to focus on the two parents and the baby sitter.  The baby was hardly in any scenes.  Makes you wonder why they call it Baby Blues.  Then at the end, Drew Carey showed up.  Very strange.

Drew Carey?  He's that guy from The Drew Carey Show.  Wait, I guess that probably doesn't help you, does it?  Um, well, he's an American comedian who stars in his own sitcom.  Does that help?

Drew's the pudgy guy with the crewcut and hornrims. Besides his own show, he also hosts the American verion of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"
