Simpson Tide or Holidays of Future Passed?

If you're asking which one is better, then definitely "Holidays".

Jesus fucking Christ, Stum, USE THE EDIT BUTTON!!!

Nothing is better than Simpson Tide.

Marge vs. the Monorail is better than Simpson Tide.
Who Shot Mr. Burns? is better than Simpson Tide.
King-Size Homer is better than Simpson Tide.
22 Short Films About Springfield is better than Simpson Tide.
Summer of 4 Ft. 2 is better than Simpson Tide.
Homer vs. the Eighteenth Amendment is better than Simpson Tide.
The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson is better than Simpson Tide.
The Cartridge Family is better than Simpson Tide.
Natural Born Kissers is better than Simpson Tide.
Lard of the Dance is better than Simpson Tide.
Lisa Gets an A is better than Simpson Tide.
Mayored to the Mob is better than Simpson Tide.
They Saved Lisa's Brain is better than Simpson Tide.
(I left out some, by the way.)

I know that it's only your opinion, but I honestly don't know how you think Simpson Tide is the best Simpsons episode. Obviously you haven't seen too many classic era episodes.

Honestly, I'm starting to think Al Jean and Mike Reiss are largely responsible for the decline of the show. I think that they always wanted to create a ridiculously stupid cartoon

They might be partly responsible, but there is other reasons like Groening's attention to Futurama and change over time to attract new viewers that can be responsible by itself. Also, change in writers was one factor. Still, you might be right, at least it adds up.

Brake My Wife, Please is a Season 14 episode. It was so bad it gave me cancer. It's the one where Homer thinks Marge hates him.

The plot is insanely convoluted; it takes more than half the episode to even get to that point. There was no need to have the first act take place at an aquarium, either. Bart could have easily got injured at home.

Its Wikipedia plot description includes the phrase "She orders them to burn their feces." That should say enough, don't you think?

I find it interesting that season 17 is where some of you draw the line.
I remember seeing the season 18 premiere and thinking that there was no reason whatsoever for Metallica* to appear, though it wasn't as bad as the Gaga episode which centered around its guest star.

*I AM a Metallica AND Otto fan. I'm also a fan of Jack Black but not Husbands and Knives

There's way too many episodes for me to choose a definite favorite, let alone a least favorite.

I will say, though, off the top of my head, that 'Behind the Laughter' and 'Cape Feare' are some my favorites. As for least, like I said, there's to many terrible ones for me to just choose one.

Because I can't choose, I'll list my top 3 for each.

Favorite: Homer's Barbershop Quartet, Bart Gets an F, and Lisa's First Word.

Least Favorite: Lisa Goes Gaga, Politically Inept With Homer Simpson, and Bart Mangled Banner.

Top 10:
1. "You Only Move Twice"
2. "Who Shot Mr. Burns?: Part 1"
3. "Who Shot Mr. Burns?: Part 2"
4. "Lemon of Troy"
5. "Treehouse of Horror IV"
6. "Cape Feare"
7. "Marge vs. the Monorail"
8. "Bart on the Road"
9. "Homer the Great"
10. "Brother from Another Series"

Bottom 10:
10. "Whiskey Business"
9. "The Fabulous Faker Boy"
8. "Funeral for a Fiend"
7. "You Kent Always Say What You Want"
6. "Lisa Goes Gaga"
5. "The Ned-liest Catch"
4. "Dude, Where's My Ranch?"
3. "Treehouse of Horror XIX"
2. "The Italian Bob"
1. "E Pluribus Wiggum"

I find it interesting that season 17 is where some of you draw the line.

Whilst I said that the worst episodes come from 17, afterwards, I draw the line very firmly between seasons 12 and 13.

13-16 are awful, but 17 onwards is where they started producing the occasional episode that I'd rate lower than 3/10.

I don't despite all wacky Simpsons episodes by the way. Some of my favourite wacky episodes come from Season 10 actually, like Homer to the Max, Viva Ned Flanders, Thirty Minutes Over Tokyo, Wild Barts Can't Be Broken, Sunday, Cruddy Sunday and Maximum Homerdrive. I think I might even rate it better than Season 9. After watching all of Season 11, Season 10 is definitely the last genuinely good season of The Simpsons for me. Weirdly enough though, quite possibly my favourite episode in Season 11 is Bart to the Future, and pretty much everyone hates that episode. Maybe my tastes in good episodes are just weird.
