The movie A.I. and the show Full House are totally ripping this show off! It was so much better Than "My Mother the Car" too!

Oh my gosh hojay I actually know what show you are talking about. I used to watch it when I was home from school for the summer...

Got this from Netflix last year. It was as awesome and horrible as I remember it being.

I remember that show and I use to love it. I wish they would do DVDs of the show.

Oh lord.  This show was so stupid!  My sister loved it, though.  I didn't like that neighobor girl who seemed to be a wannabe Punky Brewster.   Vicki was atrocious!  And that family was too sappy!   Small Wonder was clearly the Plan 9 From Outer Space of 80's sitcoms!  I'll take Night Court, Newhart, and ALF anyday!

Taken from IMDB:

"Father Ted Lawson creates robot, Vickie. The family, Ted, Joan, and Jamie, keep the information that Vickie is a robot secret, and
pretend that she is their daughter. Harriet, their nosy and annoying neighbor, has a crush on Jamie and plans to marry him. Her dad, Brandon Brendall, is Ted's boss because Brandon stole Ted's ideas and said he invented them. Tiffany Brisset stars as Vickie "The Robot" Lawson."

I didn't realize that plot had so much going on. I just knew she was a robot and that was it.

You couldn't do a show like that now, people start suspecting things if you build a kid robot... :shifty:

Your last sentence shows just the tip of what's wrong with the world today.  I never would have thought that if you didn't point it out.

Same here.  Wouldna' crossed my mind in a thousand years.  Maybe young folk are more sophisticated and less innocent now then they were back in the '80s?  I knew nothing about the plot of the show until reading Randi's synopsis -- maybe I'll look for it on late night and catch an ep or two.
