Only good part of those movies was the presence of an SR-71 in the second one. ...Which was inexplicably British.

Define "good" as described from the perspective of a Disney kid?

Uwe Boll needs to be stopped. Bluberella is a parody of a movie he has just made called Bloodrayne 3, from what I know they were both made pretty much same time. Any ways who gives a shit about him. This looks fucking awesome. Cowboys and Aliensedit: I'm also kinda of confused as to what to think about this trailer. Your Highness

I read the graphic novel of that a few years ago. Film was inevitable. In fact, I think that was the intention when the graphic novel was published.

Uh... yeah. About twenty years ago. Where have you been? Every single movie that has come out in the past two decades has been based on: *A novel *A comicbook/graphic novel *A videogame *A TV-show, or *An older movie. Every single one. There is not one original idea to go around in Hollywood. None at all. Zip.

Well, in the past two years 96% of all films released by Hollywood were based on something the general public may recognise.

On the other hand, what about Pixar's Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, WALLE, & Up?
Pixar is the exception to the rule, for the most part (Toy Story 2 & 3). They're still light years beyond the hollywood studios, who are run by non-creative suits...

No, I'm an Engineer...I think that speaks for itself. I just started getting into watching movies when I went to college and was able to download things fast with DC++. Maybe I have just gotten more cynical over the years, but I'm just so sick of all these "stupid" movies that they promote the hall out of. Piranha in 3-D, another aliens attacking the earth movie, etc. So many movies that have no character development or story (and when was the last time you saw a good action/suspense movie with character development...all the way back to the Silence of the Lambs?). Where they get the story from doesn't matter, just make it good. The Dark Knight is an example....based on a comic, but done really, really well. Where have the movies like The Godfather and The Shawshank Redemption gone other than on my movie shelf? And I will give you that Pixar is the only thing holding Disney together since they haven't created their own good animated movie in years...now they just like to remake them or put them out as a "25 year anniversary set" or something like that.

No, I'm an Engineer...I think that speaks for itself.
It really doesn't. Most engineers I know are pretty well aware of the world that goes on around, and specially cult classics such as Tron. I have not personally seen Tron, but I know it exists. I don't assume that anyone else is required to have seen a film to know it. And before you continue, I assumed as an engineer you would be able to make out it is a sequel since the title of the film is Tron: Legacy. Unless legacy means something entirely different and obscure in engineering jargon.
