Hope you guys don't mind a bit of blatant self-promotion, but I recently had the opportunity to interview cartoon voice acting legend Jim Cummings on the release of "The Tigger Movie" 10th Anniversary DVD, although my interview questions extended well beyond the DVD release.

Jim's never voiced a character on Futurama that I'm aware of, but if you've watched cartoons in the last 20 years you've heard Jim's character voices in any number of animated series and films.

My interview was just published at Toon Zone, and some outtakes from the interview and additional photos are included on my Voice Actors in the News blog.

Hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I did getting the chance to chat with Jim.

TV section?
I considered  that, but he talks about a few TV shows *and* films while the TV forum here appears to be TV-specific.

And I guess I should ask forgiveness being kind of a n00b here, but what was wrong with the links that they needed to be fixed?

It's got a TV!
Want to talk about other shows like "The Simpsons", "Family Guy" or "Star Trek"? Come here and bring your movie talk, too.

Yes, indeed, Jim Cummings never did a voice for Futurama.  Maybe that's a good thing.  He was also the voice of Dr. Robotnik.

I don't know who you are, but you have a witty username.

Also the Sonic cartoon was a pile of [deleted]. I played the [deleted] out of the games though

Sonic is really made for furies and pedos. Also his 3D games suck.

I was always intrigued that, in the Lion King, Mr Cummings stepped in to finish recording the last third (or so) of the "Be Perpared" song after Jeremy Irons blew out his vocal chords. Which means he must be a pretty talented voice artist if he can accurately mimic someone else's sing voice but Disney obviously didn't consider him good enough to give him a speaking part in the film. He 'plays' Ed, the third hyena who doesn't get to speak, only laugh.

Nah, there just weren't any speaking parts good enough to give to him.

The Sonic cartoons are crap compared to Futurama.  Also, Jim Cummings used to announce the MTV Music/Movie awards.
