Warehouse 13

Anybody give this a chance?  Seems pretty interesting.

I'm waiting for the reveal that some combination of WH13, Eureka and Stargate take place in the same universe.

I just finished watching it a few minutes ago.  It was okay.  There was definitely a 'Eureka' feel to it, which I didn't like, but the characters were alright and the plot was interesting.  I'd give it a B.  Alot better than Eureka and that show with Amanda Tapping pretending to have a British accent, but not nearly as good as anything Stargate.

The first time I saw a commercial for it I thought: Oh, another Eureka. Hopefully it has more in theme with Indiana Jones/The X-Files/Fringe than it does Eureka, or it'll be doomed to fail.


Also, I hate the new name of the Sci-Fi Channel. I saw it lasts at most a year. First, I don't know how to pronounce Syfy. It makes me want to say "sih-fee" (where "sih" sounds like "sick"), not "siii-fiii". Second, the Y's just make it look weird. Third, it means nothing and alienates the core audience. And finally, and most importantly, it provokes many syphilis jokes.

So I watched the pilot, and I really enjoyed it. There were two things I thought of during it: Indiana Jones and Ghostbusters. I like that there doesn't seem to be any overbearing and arcing mythology to it, it's just fun.
